Impala:
The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size car built by Chevrolet for model years 1958 to 1985, 1994 to 1996, and since 2000 onwards. The Impala was Chevrolet's most expensive passenger model through 1965 and had become the best-selling automobile in the United States. Please note this is not a SS model. They stopped making those in 1969 I believe.
I am the third owner and owned it about 3 years. It had about 15,000 original miles when I received the car. It was purchased new (I have the original sticker and all paper work) by the original owner located in North Dakota dealership in 1970. The first owner did not use the car much. The second owner (not clear when he bought it) but also a North Dakota resident and drove it slightly until 1983. After that it was kept it in storage / garage (unused for about 25 years). The car has now about 19,500 miles all original and from the looks of the car, I believe the mileage to be 100% correct.
Exterior:
Original gold paint. Car has some hail damage as shown in the photos and video. Car has some normal nicks and paint chips. The rear window has some rust on the chrome, but all door seals and windows have the rubber trim and no leaks. The high beam is original but the normal lights (x 2) have been replaced with LED lights. They are not an exact fit and is a little loose. I have the original headlights and assembly parts in case you want to restore it back to new. Keep in mind they are very dim, nothing wrong with electrical just how it was designed using 1970's technology. Original chrome and badging. True to 1970's design change, 3 vertical tail lights are imbedded into the rear bumper. Wrap around bumpers are seen on the front. Flipping the trunk lid we have a very clean lined trunk with a spare and jack as it came from the dealership. Trunk contents look new except for a small piece of carpet that came off (one inch deep). Door handles mirror all lights work as they should. The windshield are original. The wipers may be original. One issue with the wiper, they work but the spray does not. May or may not be an easy fix. The tires are about 3 years old with 5000 miles on it. Its been rotated and balanced once, hubs are original and mint. Drum brakes x 4 and they work and no leaks in the master cylinder. Please note the right hand side with door ding may be more than cosmetic I would guess $750 to have it straighten out.
Interior:
Front split bench vinyl seats, as well as a rear bench are in excellent original condition, and sport medium saddle coloring as per the build plate code. Gold carpeting in nice condition flood the floor. Matching tufted and buttoned door panels in medium saddle adorn both sides, and a dark brown color wraps the dash. Just a few areas of black spots from old felt rubbing off the seat. Will need a good detail and they will look 100% new. Seats no tears or rips. Looks like the seats were never used.
The instrument panel sits in front of the iconic Chevrolet steering wheel. Windows, locks and brakes are manual. Does have power steering. All electronics work except the fuel gauge. A mechanic stated the fuel senders work fine so one would have to replace the fuel gauge with some labor costs. AM radio with one radio, and a attached Kleenex box (not sure if after market or original). Some red paint on the rear dash area where the rear speakers would sit. Not sure what happened, but appears a young kid may have done some drawing and the owner tried to correct with paint. Very slight crack in the steering wheel on top that is cosmetic only, does not effect the steering.
One major issue is the car does not have air conditioning. Up North I can see the need to exclude from build sheet but any other part of the county the car is very uncomfortable during the summer month so as it stands, a great winter car. I had a new heater core and air handler put in. The radiator was re-cored so these items all now work. The belts replace along with all 8 spark plugs. I put in 4 spark plug wires and the remaining 4 are original (wires hard to get to so I decided not to change them). Distributer, points water heater pump, power steering pump and all other engine components work as they should and are original. All fluids were replaced.
Drivetrain
The original 350 ci V8 (250 hp) with a single 2-barrel carburetor atop, is nestled into the engine bay. A THM400 three speed transmission is attached to the rear of this original power plant, and shifts smoothly, and efficiently. The transmission oil and filter were replaced. An underside visual scan of the car reveals nothing remarkable, and shows typical of a garaged, well maintained classic vehicle.
UNDERNEATH:
New shocks but the undercarriage looks great with no floor rust. Some minor rust on the frame.
In summary, this can be used as a daily driver or with some work can look new again.

Vehicle Pickup & Shipping:
All shipping charges are buyer's responsibility. I believe eBay has a service you can use to ship the car. It will be approximately $1000. I live in McKinney Texas 75070 changed recently to 75072.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
Any buyer must pay applicable state and local tax, title and license fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for their own state taxes and fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. I will not assist with the paperwork but will be available by mail if I have to sign any additional paperwork.
Shipping:
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. I will not assist the buyer with finding a shipping company. I assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving our home. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received to the delivery carrier before the vehicle is released to the shipping company.
Buyer's Inspection:
Every effort has been made to accurately and fairly describe this vehicle to you. I have tried to disclose all information known about this vehicle for auction and included a video which I believe covers the entire car (inside and out). If you require any specific photos, please send me an email. Please be advised that used vehicles will have typical rust, scratches and dings inherent for their year and mechanical parts are subject to fail. I welcome and recommend a buyer's inspection. If you plan to have a buyer's inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle prior to the auction ending or you can hire (at your own expense a professional appraiser to inspect. Buyer is responsible for any inspection charges and fees. I believe without the hail damage the vehicle is worth $15k to $20k.

Successful Bidder:
I am not an auto dealer so I can not do any financing.
TITLE:
Please note the vehicle is title in Texas and has a bonded title. There is a surety bond for $7500 by the bonding company but that has expired. I am not sure what happened but I believe the 2nd owner applied for a duplicate title (lost it) and then found the original title. From my understanding, if registered in Texas, you can go to DMV after three years and get a clean title. Vehicle was not involved in any prior accidents and does not have a salvage / branded or junk title. Just the bonded title issue. The second owner I believe has passed away and I don't think he will make any claims. The estate signed the title and I have the power of attorney papers I will include. Again, I believe this is minor / nonevent issue.
TERMS OF THE SALE:
Upon receiving the full payment and shipping charges, there is a 10 day waiting period for check to clear (even if cashier check used). I will then fedex the title and supporting papers. I will then authorize the shipping company to come pick up the vehicle for delivery to your location.
Thank you for looking at my auction for this great car. I have some financial issue and willing to list for a low starting price of $8500 which is the reason for the sale. Also I intended to restore the car but the cost of adding a/c alone was $3500 so I left it unrestored. Now time to part.
