1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Fully Restored Low Mileage Ready to Go! 283 V8 Automatic
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Low Miles Fully Restored 283 Automatic 50+ PICS Description
I am selling this for a friend of mine who doesn't really "do the internet". He is thinning out the herd so to speak, and this is one that he has chosen to sell at this point. I will do my best to provide a back story of the car, and go over all aspects of it. It can be shown by appointment only, and all buyers are encouraged to bring a mechanic or restoration expert if they desire.
This is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, 283 (original engine) with an automatic transmission. The transmission was put in by the current owner because upon purchase it had a turbo 350 transmission, and wanting to maintain originality, he went back with a transmission that would be equipped in this model. The car has manual steering, manual brakes, and is represented as if it was on the lot in 1957. The car runs and drives incredibly, it tracks straight, has good power, no engine smoke, knocks, noises, etc. There are no leaks of any kind on the vehicle and mechanically, this vehicle is safe and ready to enjoy. Any work done on this vehicle was done by professional mechanics, to ensure a both safety and quality of the vehicle. This car has 49,000 miles on the odometer, and although it was stated that it was an original low-mileage car, it is very tough to verify.
The car was fully restored about 10 years ago and the current owner has owned the car for 4 years. The interior is original style and looks fantastic, and the red exterior looks wonderful as well. Potential buyers should know that this red was not a factory color, the original color of the car was the red-orange color. The interior still hints a bit of that red orange tone, but looks great with the current red paint job.The interior is immaculate and looks fantastic. All interior lighting works well, all dash knobs work, and no known issues.
The car is rust free, and clean as a whistle. The undercarriage looks fantastic, all lights and electrical aspects of the car function as they should, and wheels and tires look great and have plenty of tread. The paint looks great. It could use a good buffing/detail to really make it pop, which can be factored into the price, and I would recommend getting it detailed upon arrival if buyer uses an open transport company when shipping the vehicle. There are a few blemishes on the car, with the most prominent being on the right rear quarter panel (please see pictures)
This is a great car, and the seller hopes to find it a good home. This car would be a welcome addition to any collection or a great cruiser that will win many trophies at car shows in the future (it has won a number of times to date).
