1966 Chevelle SuperSport L-78. This is a very rare car and absolutely the real deal. General Motors did not make a lot of these street monsters. The L-78 was the highest horsepower you could get in 66 by the RPO.The L78 was based on the four-bolt-main 396 block and had a solid lifter camshaft with .520 lift, 11:1 compression, rectangular-port heads with 2.19 intake valves shared with the Corvette 427, an aluminum intake and a 780-CFM Holley carburetor. Needless to say these were built to race and not many of them survived. This L-78 Chevelle was given a complete frame off rotisserie restoration a few years backkeeping everything just the way it came off the assembly line. Original Regal Red exterior with a black vinyl top and brightRed bench seat interior made this car stand out in a crowd. I'm surean originalRed/Red 4 speed bench seat L-78 was rarer than Hens teeth back in 66 andalmost impossible to find today. Making this a real blue chip collector car that will only getrarer as time goes on. Hereare the options ordered on the car:
