1994 Chevy Caprice Wagon LT1 NO RESERVE
1994 Chevrolet Caprice Description
I have the autocheck report but can't attach it. I can email it if interested.
For auction with no reserve is my 1994 Chevy Caprice wagon. I bought it from the original owner in 2013. I have a clear title in my name. It has over 175000 miles. It starts, runs, drives and stops very well. Below are the records I have regarding maintenance and repairs:
2008- oil cooler lines replaced & trans service (only records I have from previous owner)
2013- new thermostat, water pump, and coolant flush.4 new Kumho Solus Tires
2015- New muffler, brake adjustment
2016- trans servicenew muffler
2017- repaired battery connection to starter solenoid. New aftermarket radio antenna.
2018- oil change, replaced evaporator, accumulator, orifice tube and AC system charged
I have also done some repairs & maintenance myself including: replace oil pan gasket, replace intake manifold gasket, replace front brake pads and rotor/hub assembly (wheel bearings), replace rear shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders. Terrible body work to fix rust holes on rear quarter panels. I also changed the oil twice a year.
Overall the car is mechanically sound for being 25 years old. Below are the known problems:-RUST. Major rot at the rear quarter panels. It is rusted through on the driver's side. The passenger side is slightly better but still bad. Rust where the front doors meet the fenders. Rust by the hood latch. Rusty undercarriage. I don't think anything has rusted all the way through but it is getting close. Driver's side has one really bad spot on rocker under the door.- Rear windows do not roll up or down; they are off the tracks.-Front luggage rack bar does not stay in locked to luggage rack. This is only a problems when tying something on the top.-One wheel cover is cracked-The EGR tube from the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold was cut to replace intake manifold gasket. It is currently sleeved with high temp silicone hose.-Cooling fans have a bypass switch because the car was running hot. The wiring kit was professionally assembled and I did the install.-I am sure there is more wrong with the car that I am not aware off. It was leaking oil but the intake manifold gasket and oil pan gasket repair seemed to help. It is still moist especially by the valve covers.- Not very useful car in winter.-Oil stains on front carpet near transmission hump.- AC not blowing cold
I am selling because I only average about a 1000 miles a year and barely used it last year. Between insurance and winter storage the car is getting too expensive to justify keeping. This is not a total piece of junk and it is still a driveable car. Car is sold AS-IS with NO RESERVE. I am not a mechanic and I would suggest getting one to check out the car so you are not disappointed. Cash when picking up. Please pickup within 7 days or contact me to make other arrangements. Comes with 2 sets of keys.Feel free to message me to set up a time to view and test drive car.
