1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air Description
Spring is Here! Carlisle Week Special!! Enjoy the outdoors in style! I am listing this for a friend because his Change in Family situation forces sale. More Kids = Less Toys! Bid to own or make an offer on this Great looking - Car Show or Cruise ready -1957 Chevrolet 210 Post 2-door with Bel Air trim! Originally a southern V8 car which only recently made its way north. Had an inspection sticker from NY as recent as 2017. This car drives great and turns heads everywhere it goes. Want attention? Want a fantastic conversation starter? This is the vehicle for you. It boasts a quick Chevy V8 which according to previous mechanic's records I believe is a 350, with a 3-speed automatic with column shifter, Loud- dual Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust, power rack steering, updated/ modern power brakes (with discs in the front), additional cooling with switch operated added electric fan, operational crank windows, good battery, replacement gas tank, headliner, 17" aluminum AR wheels, Goodyear 235/55R17 tires, functional horn, gauges, turn signals and all lights. The only item that does not work is the replacement radio at this time. It just hums when powered on. There is a sub-speaker system in the trunk, but is not functional at this time because of the broken radio. The only two flaws with this car other than a small crack in the rear drivers window ( see pictures) is the rear bumper on the passengers side was bumped at one point and has a slight angle upwards under the fin which is barely noticeable to the untrained eye and parking brake does not work. I think one of the cables is frozen and is disconnected. Not sure. Prior slips and repair orders are included. Clear MASS title and current plates / insurance will make it easy to register and transfer to ANY state. This car is quick, drives straight and stops good. Starts and runs perfectly. Body is in very good shape and really has nice door lines. No apparent rust anywhere and the only rattles are the trunk and shocks on speed bumps. Going down the road is fairly quiet for a 62 year old car. I think the trunk can be adjusted because it has a new closing latch and just probably needs two people to dial it in. The door panels, headliner, carpet, trunk mat, seats and floor mats all look original. There is some wear on these items (mainly the driver's seat padding) and the plastic interior door handles are cracked. These items are easily replaceable and available from reproductions outlets nationwide. The dash is in very nice shape and glove box and ash tray function and fit perfectly. The color is officially Matador Red, but it is like an Orange - Red Color. I would consider it red. Touch up paint included. 4 Seat belts have been added for safety. Ask away if you have any additional questions, but don't wait too long. At this price in the Northeast, this car won't last long. Please note, this is a very honest description, but by all means, if you would like to view the car previous to purchase, we can work something out. For the price, you won't be disappointed. 57 Chevy's are an investment that never lose value. Buy today. Thanks for looking!
