1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS Tuned Port Injection 335 Stroker
1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS Description
I have owned this 1991 RSCamarosince 1997. I have done all the work myself, I'm a trained auto technician. I have spend countless hours working on this car, and spent thousands of dollars on it. It was my baby all through my 20's and 30's. I will truly miss it. I am selling this car because I rarely drive it now, and I want to move on to a new project. The car has 178k on it, mostly highway from when it was my road trip car in college. I've always kept up with the maintenance, it's mechanically sound. I did a full rebuild of the engine approximately 2000 miles ago. It has a stroked 305 block with a forged 400 crank, punched 30 over, making it a 335 cubic inch engine. It has forged Keith Black pistons. Custom Crane Cams camshaft. It has a 1987 mass air flow Tuned Port Injection unit on it with a painless wiring harness. Autometer Trans temp and mechanical oil pressure gauges mounted to A pillar. K&N filters installed in the correct air filter housing for TPI. The data connector and check engine light are relocated to the lower right kick panel. Custom Crane cam shaft. Siamesed SLP runners. Upper and lower Intakes, along with the heads have been ported and gasket matched. Crane 1.5 gold roller rockers on threaded studs. Edelebrock headers, and 3" exhaust with a Catco high flow cat converter. TCI high performance 700r4 transmission with a B&M ratchet shifter. Accel coil and distributor. Lakewood rear lower control arms. The battery has been relocated to the right rear spare tire compartment. The rear end has a 3.73 Richmond ring and pinion, with a Powertrax locker. Leather seats from a 4th genCamaro, new black carpeting and trim. The center console is a custom cut diamond plate. The car was painted platinum pearl metallic 18 years ago. It has some dings dents and scratches. The roof has a small cluster of dents from stuff falling on it when a shelf in my garage fell off the wall. The front bumper had some paint chipping, and there are some scratches on the doors. There is a rust bubble under the paint on the driver A piller, and the passenger door lower left corner. The A/C still blows cold. It has a hidden hitch installed on it. I used it to tow my jet skis a total of 2 times. The tires are near new. I have every receipt for every purchase I've ever made for this car. I will also include the service manual and any other documentation I have. The car is quick, and fun to drive. Some of the things I never got around to fixing / finishing: 1. The vehicle speed sensor needs a new gear installed on it so the speedometer reads correctly. I have it, and will include it with the sale. 2. The Clarion amplifier for the 4 speakers is not working. It may need to be replaced. The sub-woofer amp is still working correctly. 3. The drivers door will need a hinge pin replacement.
