1971 Chevrolet Corvette Description

Beautiful correct restoration done about 10 years ago with an emphasis on originality and NCRS judging. This is the last of the high horsepower high torque Stingray’s. Car Starts great, runs drives as it should no rattles or squeaks, and has the best exhaust note of any muscle car I have ever owned.

Recent updates include:

  • Rebuilt (March 2019) and correctly restored original (date correct) carburetor with all correct platting $425
  • Rebuilt (February 2019) and correctly detailed original (date correct) clutch fan $350
  • Correct reproduction Delco battery (AGM May 2019)-not a cheap cover has 1 year full replacement warranty made in USA $375
  • Just spent over $7,000 at high end Corvette specialty shop (MasterWorks- Madison Heights Michigan) (April 2019) to ensure correctness and drivability for next owner -
  • A few of the services performed are new correctly riveted rear discs and spindles, brakes rebuilt, front end alignment, power windows repaired, windshield wiper functionality addressed, engine and trans seals replaced, rear wheel bearings, new correct ball joints, new correct heater hoses
  • All fluids just changed- correct reproduction oil filter.
  • All lights and fiber optics work, Radio works as well as all gauges.
  • Many miscellaneous NOS parts
  • Have receipts for the above plus the complete engine rebuild and misc receipts.

Here are some highlights of this rare and unique Corvette

  • Matching numbers 454 LS5 365 hp 460 lbs ft of torque (factory rating)

This is the nicest most original 1971 LS5 Corvette currently for sale. Most 1971 LS5's have been modified in some way or are missing many very expensive components. This is the last of the high horsepower Corvettes and this one has all the right documentation and matching numbers. You can't buy one and then restore it to this level for this price! LS5’s are getting harder to find that are not used and abused or modified. It takes a lot of money to put these cars back to day 1 condition.

There is a lien on the car so that would need to be paid off prior to release of title we can deal through your bank and they will handle all paperwork. I can also provide delivery up to 500 miles (USA) from (48383) White Lake Michigan in my custom-built aluminum trailer.

I will consider trades- (your car plus cash) for the following vehicles: Corvette C3-(73 to 78 -454 and L82 low miles untouched survivor cars), C4 ZR1 or C6 or C7 Z06 - high options-low miles)

Some recent examples of auction "SOLD" prices:

*A 1971 War Bonnet Yellow LS5 auto with many non factory parts -exhaust and wrong hood and other incorrect components and nowhere near the quality of this car sold at Barret Jackson Northeast 2018 for $50,000*

*A 1971 LS5 restored/correct car sold for $69,300 at the 2018 Mecum auction in Denver*
