1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Description

Three owner 1968 Chevelle SS Original Survivor, 59XXX miles. Originally purchased in June of 1968 in Topeka Kansas. Let me start with the bad- 1. Original owner had the undercarriage sprayed the first 2 years he had the car. I was able to remove some, but gave up.2. The original owner removed the smog system.3. The original owner cut the dash bezel to install an aftermarket radio (but kept the original AM radio). I found a replacement bezel and reinstalled the AM radio. The afterm radio is hiding in the glove box.4. I thought the pinstripes that were on it when I bought it in 2007 were aftermarket, so I spent countless hours removing them. It turns out they were from the factory!! I've since had a few estimates to get them reapplied for around $400, just haven't done it.5. Its got very minor bad spots behind each wheel. They were there when I got the car, and in my opinion not worth fixing. 6. The original owner installed air shocks on the rear.
Now for the Unique features!
1. It's one of the very first alternate interior chevelles that was made. It has a build date of March 29th, most of the documentation about this state's that April is when this occurred.2. It still has part of a factory grease paint "OK" on the firewall.3. Still has a sticker under the hood showing a spark plug change in 1971 with 33,000 miles4. Still has original clutch (and still grabs good!)
Other facts- 1. The second owner bought the car in 1999. He knew the original owner (they worked together at a cable company). I bought the car from Topeka Kansas in 2007. 2. I cleaned and detailed the engine in 2008. 3. It has a Hurst shifter with muncie lever. The original muncie shifter comes with the car.4. Car is loaded with documentation. Pretty much everything except original window sticker.5. I recently put a pertronix ignitor on it. Before that, in approximately 2008, it ran 14.6 in a quarter mile. Time slip will come with the car. Right about where it should have be. 6. Was in a magazine (muscle car review) in 2009. A copy will come with the car. The old original paint sill shows and shines nice, the old big block runs like a champ and shifts great! I've been documenting every mile Ive driven since 2010. I just don't want to do that. I want a car i can drive the wheels off of and enjoy! This old original Survivor just needs to be trailered to shows.
