1960 Chevrolet Corvette Resto-Mod Description

1960 Roman Red Corvette Resto-Mod Convertible.Very sharp "Sleeper" with LS2 power! Roman Red w/Red interior, LS2 376/430hp, 6-spd. manual transmission. When someone decides to undertake the building of a Resto-Mod, the sky is just about the limit to what you can do to make it your own. Mild or wild? Small block or big block? Automatic or manual transmission? And that's the easy part!Well, the owner of this beautiful '60 decided to go the sleeper route. Other than a set of... classic polished American Torque Thrust wheels and low profile radial tires, you would never guess this was anything other than a meticulously restored, stock solid axle Corvette. The correct '60 vintage Roman Red paint with contrasting White coves glistens in the sun and the interior appears completely stock. But, that stock vibe changes as soon as you lift up the hood! That's where you'll find a Corvette LS2 engine backed by a 6-spd manual transmission, power brakes, power steering, heavy duty aluminum radiator and air conditioning! Underneath, the frame is modified with 4-wheel disc brakes, coil over shocks, heavy duty rear end and a full stainless steel exhaust system. The car was restored over a couple of years in Southern California by Vestris Vettes, John Vestri. The driveline was a new at the time LS2 Gen IV engine, T56 six speed, 9" rear end with posi-traction, aluminum radiator and upgraded gas tank. The stock frame was "beefed up" and powder coated.Suspension - Upgraded coil-over shocks, new bushings and springsBrakes- Four-wheel power disc.Steering- Power rack and pinion.Electrical- Painless wiring harness and fuse panel.Gauges- Autometer "classic" gauge package. The car has been driven approximately 300 miles since restoration. It's been kept in a climate controlled garage since.
