1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description

1955Chevy Bel Air 327 4 speed. The car is exactly as I purchased it 12 years ago except for new tires and front hubs. I was going to modify it when I bought it but decided to keep it the way it is. The engine runs well and is reliable.Stainless, glass and chrome are good. The windows all work properly. The non original paint and interior show well but are not perfect. VIN and cowl tags are intact.I believe the car was black with a 6cyl 3spd when new. I purchased it after it was repainted so there could be bodywork. The body is undercoated and I've never lifted the carpet so it's hard to say how the floors are but I've seen no signs of repair. The front suspension, steeing, and clutch linkage could use somework. The cardrives straight but there's a lot of play in the steering. The trans shifts fine and the clutch grabs but there's also play in the clutch pedal. This is a 61 year old car. A lot of the parts are original. The lights, turn signals, horn, and newer stereo work but the underdash wiring should be upgraded. Heater on/off and reverse lights are toggle switches. The brakes are the original 4 wheel drum and work well. The parking brake also works well. The trunk is clean and the rear shock mounts in the trunk floor are intact.
