1954 Chevrolet Truck Series 3100, Step-Side, Strait Six, 4 Speed Manual Floor Shift, Rock Solid Survivor! Original, Low Mileage, Barn kept, Rust Free, Solid, Southern Pick-Up Truck, Mechanically sound, runs and drives great!
Vintage (possible dealer installed) Speed Equipment makes this Chevy Truck very RARE and desirable. Built to be reliable and dependable, she retains her original drivetrain with its "Stovebolt" 235.5-cubic-inch straight six "ThriftMaster" engine, Optional Heavy-Duty Borg-Warner 4-Speed Manual Transmission, and Semi-Floating Rear Axle. Vintage Dual "Offenhauser" Manifolds with dual original style single-barrel Rochester carburetors and "Fenton" Headers provide increased power, economical operation and a smother, better balanced engine when combined with her dual exhaust.
Vintage "Wayne" Finned Valve and Lift Covers, and a Beehive Oil Filter/Cooler enhance performance while dressing up her engine bay. Other than necessary maintenance items, few changes have been made over the years to this exceptional machine.
Rugged Good Looks, a Straight, Solid, Southern body painted in Juniper Green. Chevy produced this body style pickup through 1955 and was the last of the Advanced Design trucks.
She retains her original Body, Frame, Instruments, Steering System, Water Pump, Radiator, Generator, Starter Motor, Distributor, Dash, Seat Frame, Radio, Heater Box, Master Cylinder and more.
She has new wiring converted to a 12-volt system and halogen headlights. She was repainted a long while ago in '54 Juniper Green, but shows no signs of ever needing any rust or body work repairs.
Her original color is believed to be Ocean Green.
Her interior was more recently redone in its original color scheme with the original seat frame recovered in tan as well as her door panels and headliner.
As was her bed recently redone in Oak with painted black skid strips. Her front suspension consists of an I-beam system with a 2,200-lb. capacity, with the rear featuring a semi-floating system with a 3,300-lb. capacity.
The rear features the optional 10-leaf spring suspension and original rear axle with a 3.9:1 ratio.
Stopping power comes from 11-inch hydraulic drums on all four wheels.
Her frame features ladder type construction with four cross members and channel side rails.
Her steering gear is a recirculating ball type. Like on all early postwar pickup trucks, her original amenities are few.
Standard equipment on all 1954 Chevy pickups was an ammeter, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, speedometer, cowl ventilator controls, locking glove box and ashtray.
Her Options include a radio, stainless steel hubcaps, heater box, armrests and floor mat. This vintage Bow Tie pickup boasts the pride of ownership and is a true piece of American automotive history. FEATURES & OPTIONS: ENGINE:
