1964 Chevrolet C-10 Description

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A VERY SOLID 1964 CHEVROLET C10 LWB TRUCK. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ABOUT A YEAR AGO WITH THE INTENTION OF DOING SOME RESTORATION ON IT AND JUST DRIVING IT ON WEEKENDS OR GOING TO CAR SHOWS. WELL, A NEW BABY CHANGED MY PRIORITIES SO NOW I AM SELLING IT BECAUSE I NEED THE MONEY AND I WILL NOT HAVE ANY EXTRA MONEY TO PUT INTO IT ANY MORE. THE TRUCK IS JUST LIKE I PURCHASED IT ONE YEAR AGO SO I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY PERFORMED ANY OF THE CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS FROM STOCK THAT YOU SEE SO I CAN ONLY EXPLAIN TO YOU WHAT CHANGES WERE MADE AT SOME POINT, WHAT I WAS TOLD BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER WHO DID PERFORM THE CHANGES AND BY WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A MECHANIC WHO EXAMINED THE TRUCK FOR ME PRIOR TO MY PURCHASING OF IT. THE BODY ON THE TRUCK IS VERY SOLID EXCEPT FOR A FEW AREAS THAT USUALLY ARE PRONE TO RUST LIKE THE FLOOR PAN RIGHT BELOW THE DOOR WHEN IT CLOSED, THE DRIP RAIL ON THE CAB, THE WOODEN BED AND RAILS AND A FEW MORE SPOTS HERE AND THERE. THESE AREAS ARE NOT IN REAL BAD SHAPE BUT THEY WILL REQUIRE ATTENTION IF YOU ARE GOING TO RESTORE THE TRUCK. THE PAINT IS NOT ORIGINAL BUT IT IS AN OLDER PAINT JOB AND THE SIDE RACING STRIPES WERE ADDED YEARS AGO AS WELL. THE PAINT IS IN DECENT SHAPE FOR ITS AGE, THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUCK IS PRETTY MUCH STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE SEATS ARE NOW COVERED IN BLACK LEATHER AND THEY ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE WOODEN BED OF THE TRUCK IS ORIGINAL BUT NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACE DUE TO THE WOOD ROTTING. THE TAILGATE IS NOT PICTURED ON THE TRUCK BUT I DO HAVE ACCESS TO IT AND WILL INSTALL IT PRIOR TO IT BEING PICKED UP. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE TRUCK HAD A V6 OR V8 ORIGINALLY BUT IT HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A 350 V8 FROM A 1976 MODEL TRUCK AND A ALOT OF UPGRADES HAVE BEEN PERFORMED TO THE ENGINE AS SEEN IN THE PICTURE AS WELL AS INTERNALLY. I CAN TELL YOU THE TRUCK IS VERY FAST AND WILL SMOKE THE TIRES UNTIL THEY POP IF YOU SO CHOOSE.LOL. THE STANDARD TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN CHANGED OUT TO A LATER MODEL AUTOMATIC AS WELL AND THE SHIFTER IS LOCATED ON THE FLOOR. THE EXHAUST HAS BEEN ROUTED TO SIDE PIPES. THE TRUCK COMES WITH FOUR MATCHING CHROME RIMS AND 4 TIRES IN FAIR CONDITION BUT THEY ARE IN DRIVEABLE CONDITION. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY. THE ENGINE RUNS VER, VERY WELL BUT IT WILL NEED A NEW BATTERY AND I JUST STARTED HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE RADIATOR LEAKING BUT IT HAS NOT GOT HOT. IT IS A SLOW LEAK SO YOU CAN DRIVE IT BUT THE WATER LEVEL JUST NEEDS TO BE WATCHED. IT USES NO OIL AND DOES NOT SMOKE. THE GLASS IS ALL PRESENT BUT THE WINDSHEILD DOES HAVE A CRACK IN IT.. ALL TRIM AND BUMPERS ARE PRESENT AND IN GOOD SHAPE EXCEPT FOR THE REAR BUMPER WHICH DOES HAVE SOME DINGS AND SMALL DENTS IN IT. SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A DRIVER QUALITY TRUCK AND IT HAS BEEN KEPT UP WITH FAIRLY WELL FOR THAT REASON. PLEASE DO NOT THINK YOU ARE GETTING A TRAILER QUEEN OR A SHOW TRUCK BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT. IN MY OPINION IT WILL NOT TAKE MUCH TO GET THIS TRUCK INTO SHOW CONDITION BUT IT DOES NEED WORK TO DO SO. THIS TRUCK CAN BE ON THE ROAD AGAIN FOR ONLY A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS WHICH MAKES THIS AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR A ROLLING RESTORATIO, A FIRST CLASSIC VEHICLE, SHOP TRUCK OR A COMPLETE NUT AND BOLT RESTORATION.
