What began as a father-son project has been derailed by unexpected personal expenses. As a result, we must sell the 1977 Corvette. VIN is 1Z37LS448960. Motor is a 5.7 liter 350 CID V-8 with a 4 bbl carburetor and automatic transmission. T-tops. Previous owner installed MSD ignition and aftermarket air intake system. Car has been painted, and it is a beautiful red with camel interior. Odometer reads 49,087 but your guess as to its accuracy is as good as mine. In the interest of full disclosure, despite the repairs identified below, this is not a perfect car. It still has a few things one would expect on a 42-year-old car. We’re looking for a good home for this car.
We have all service records since purchasing the car last September. To date, we have:
· Installed new speedometer cable.
· Installed new steering stabilizer and assist gear.
· Diagnosed and replaced high blower relay.
· Installed new (all) lower steering hoses.
· Installed new safety belts/shoulder harnesses.
· Installed new left rear trailing arm.
· Aligned rear end.
· Installed (and bled) left rear brake caliper.
· Installed new power steering pump.
· Repaired wiring harness/blower motor relay.
· Installed new driver’s side door latch.
· Installed new A/C bracket assembly.
· Installed new A/C condenser and flushed system.
· Installed new A/C compressor and belt.
All told, we have spent $7,775.69 (parts and labor) for the above repairs. All repairs are warrantied for 12 months by the mechanic. I am not looking to make money on this sale, but I am not looking to take too bad of a bath either. That’s why the car is priced where it is. I will consider any reasonable offer and I am willing to share the costs to ship the car anywhere in the continental U.S.
