1974 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Description

This 1974 L82 4-speed Corvette is a highly optioned Stingray with only 36,200 original miles. I purchased this car off the second owner who loved and cared for it since 1977. The car was refurbished from front to back with new true flex bumpers front and rear, Stainless Steel Brakes lines new leaf spring, tires and much more. The exhaust was upgraded with a true dual exhaust magnaflow system that sounds excellent. This is a numbers matching car with the 250hp 350c.u. that has 280ft lbs. Of torque. The motor runs great and effortlessly pulls this T-top coupe in town and on the highway. I recently took this car on a 200 mile journey and encountered rain, heat, traffic and there were no issues. The car has power windows, brakes, steering map light and A/C. The paint has a beautiful glossy shine and matches the new bumpers. The silver leather is in excellent shape and so is the carpet. This is a turn key car you can drive anywhere. Message me for more pictures and video of the car. I am happy to take any pictures and answer any questions so please ask. I also encourage anybody who has Corvette questions to contact me because this car is original down to the igintion shielding. I will only trade for a 1959 Impala Convertible condition is negotiable.
Body-
The Car is painted in it's original white and has vinyl stripes accenting the peaks to help break up the monochromatic color. The front and rear bumpers were replaced with name brand True Flex bumpers that were cut to fit the original body. The panels are original and never suffered any major trauma so the bumpers do fit quite nice. The paint was blended to match the body and looks great! All the lights work, the emblems look great, the stainless steel and chrome is shining!
Interior-
This has the original Silver leather interior carpet, door panels, dash, Center console etc... it is the deluxe interior with wood grain. The interior is in very good conditions for being original and will present well at any car show. The leather seat on the driver side does show some where on the corner bolster but there are no rips or tears. The passenger side seat is great and you can still feel the foam as if the seat was barely used. The car features tilt/telescopic steering wheel seat belt reminder/ power windows and even has the original t-top leather bags and jack. The lights all work even the one behind the driver in the middle storage compartment. This car even has a map light that works.
Drivetrain-
I am very impressed with the sound feel and overall performance of the L-82. This car has a very unique sound and plenty of low end torque. The engine works great from cold start to cruising on the highway. I have had this car in the cooler weather and the hot heat in traffic and it performs very well. Anything rubber that needed replaced was and the heater core was also replaced. The car still has all of the Original smog pump lines and accessories. The Air Conditioning is all present and all components are hooked up but does need converted to 134A.
The brakes received a complete overhaul and work great and will not need serviced for quite some time. All the vaccum lines are in good condition and do not leak. The tires are brand new and have less that 300 miles on them at this time.
Chassis-
This car is completely rust free and the underneath speaks for itself. The chassis was sanded and sprayed black and has a wonderful look and is also easy to clean.
Electrical-
All bulbs were tested and replaced. All bulbs interior and exterior are in working order. The car also has a new battery. Even the map light on the mirror. The radio which is an AM/FM Stereo is not working at this time. I pulled the radio and did some tests however it will only buzz and speakers will crackle but no clear sound. The radio does light up when turned on and looks like it is working but there is no sound. I have decided to sell it with the radio installed because it is original and does have the original amp attached to it aswell. This radio can be converted to a modern radio or removed and replaced with a retro sound radio. The alarm horn also does not work. It is complete and the wiring and key hole are present however the horn for it located under the driver's side passenger quarter panel will no longer work.
This is a very nice example of an L-82 4 speed Covette ready to hit the road. It will provide many years of service if properly maintained.I have videos of the car running ans driving and will take pictures of anything you would like. Please ask questions.
