1952 chevy pickup Ratrod, Rat Rod
1952 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description
Here are the basics:
1. 1952 Chevy 5-window on its original frame. The original cab and frame were used on the build so you can title and register it as a 1952 rather than a modified vehicle or an assembled vehicle. The cab was chopped. The rear of the frame, the bed, and the fenders were condensed in length and custom small-steps were fabricated in the corners where the bed/fenders meet the cab-corners. Custom fabricated grille. Much more...
Clean and Clear Nevada title in my name (in hand). The truck is registered and insured.
2. 1986 Chevy SBC 350 V8 that was rebuilt prior to my acquisition. Not sure of the exact miles since rebuild. Runs fantastic, tight and strong. 45 psi at idle and about 50+ psi at 55 mph. (Engine #14088548)
3. Motor features a Mallory electronic ignition 854820, a Holly Strip Dominator High-Rise intake manifold, a WEBER 4-barrel, Summit Racing chrome dress-up kit, much more.
4. 1986 13-bolt pan Chevy Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Shifts strong and operates as it should. No leaks. Brand new "Derale" trans-cooler mounted in the front grille.
5. Rear end is a Chevy 10-bolt differential, posi, 7.5 ring, 3.08 gears. Rear suspension utilizes the original leaf-springs but new shocks and air bags were added so the ride can be adjusted. Brand new disc brake conversion system from Summit Racing. Chevy 5 lug. 15" x 10" steel wheels painted red satin. Chrome Baby Moon caps. BF Goodrich TA radials.
6. The solid front axle is a brand new, complete package from Speedway, including disc brakes and 5 lug. 4 Shorty shocks added to improve suspension, along with a custom fabricated steering shock to keep the fat tires from wondering too much. 15" x 8" steel wheels painted red satin. Chrome Baby Moon caps. Brand new Cooper radials.
7. Brand new "Frost Bite" FBR-FB-126 2-row aluminum radiator.
8. Brand new "Derale" auxiliary radiator fan (push). I left the engine fan too (pull), so there is no problem cooling things off. A toggle switch in the cab will turn the auxiliary fan off and on, so you can shut it down when it's not needed.
9. Just had the split-bench, high-back seat reupholstered.
10. All gauges work and include: Oil pressure, Voltage, Water temp, GPS speedometer, fuel level with a new sending unit in the fuel-cell.
11. Pioneer stereo with CD Player. 4-speakers.
12. All lights, turn signals, brakes, hazard, interior dome, dash, etc work.
13. Windshield and rear window are real glass, custom cut for this truck and put in place with modern adhesive so no bulky trim was needed...looks very nice. Door glass is original. Corner windows are plexi.
14. No heater. No wipers. No E-Brake.
15. This is a fun, cool-looking modified truck / ratrod and it rides like one. It sounds good, runs good, accelerates fast, brakes good, etc but it is not a modern vehicle.
16. Please refer to the photos to see all the additional custom work and items not mentioned above (too much to list); fabrication, imagination, art, etc.
