1963 Chevrolet Corvette Fuel Injected convertible- Duntov
1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Description
63 Convertible, Silver Blue, dark blue interior, white top. L84, 327-360 Fuel Injected, original engine (a born-with block, with the "matching numbers" put there at St. Louis in 1962)andfuel unit. Options are: AM-Wonderbar radio, 4 speed, posi-traction, optional hard top.
An early production car, it was delivered to a marine officer in the Ridgecrest, California in December, 1962, spending the first part of its life in the California desert, resulting in one of the the most solid frames I've seen. It received its first body-off restoration in 1998. It then received multiple NCRS Top Flight awards, an NCRS 'Duntov' award, Bloomington Gold, and a Triple Crown. Sold into a large indoor collectio, where it remained until 2011.Comprehensively body-off re-restored in 2011, it scored 99.2 (of 100) points at 2013 NCRS National, a score seldom seen in National meets. It then went on to become one of only a handful of cars to receive a second National Corvette Restorers Society"Duntov"award, the highest available Corvette award.
All of the parts that were on it at its 99.2 point NCRS National Top Flight judging are on the car. (Some photos show reproduction aluminum wheels, those are not included in the sale).Driven minimally since its last showing, perhaps a total of 300 miles, just enough to keep it running perfectly, it is still in pristine condition, starts instantly and runs exactly like a car that's passed an NCRS Performance Verification should.
This is areal, special, no excuses, car, perhaps one of the nicest 63's on the planet.
Shipping is buyer's responsibility, unless delivery location is within 200 mile of Wixom, MI, then car can be delivered.
