1950 Chevrolet Other Pickups One Ton Description

1950 GMC One Ton 9 Foot Express Bed Pickup Truck. All original barn find heavy duty Advance Design GMC. A very good candidate for a full restoration. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder. Contact must be made within 24 hours of the auction ending or it will be assumed that you have no intention of honoring your bid and the truck will be offered to others. Zero Feedback bidders must make contact prior to bidding.
It's not often we come across an Advance Design era GMC pickup with the 9 foot Express Bed. This one has a beautiful patina if that's what you are looking for and is remarkably solid. The floorboards are in very good condition with no rust through. The doors are very solid with no rust through, as is the 9 foot bed. There is the usual rust holes in the lower cowl just ahead of the front doors. The cab corners are just beginning to rust with a few minor holes. The fenders have a few farm related dents and the drivers side of the hood looks to have had an amateur repair many decades ago but overall it is a very straight survivor for an old farm truck. The wooden bed floor is partially rotted away. The tailgate is present and in good condition which is unusual for a One Ton truck as they were often replaced with a wooden board on these heavier duty trucks for practicality reasons. Overall a very solid truck that has no bondo and still proudly wears its original paint.
The interior is complete but will require the usual work of re-upholstering the seat and other details.
Mechanically this truck is complete. It hasn't ran or been driven in many years. It rolls and steers freely and all tires hold air. Being a Canadian specification GMC it has the more common Chevrolet Stovebolt 6 rather than the GMC engine that US specification GMC's were fitted with.
This will make a great project and will stand out from the crowd of short bed half tons. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder.

who we are and what we do

We are two brothers who seek out original trucks and cars from all across Canada, specializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s.

Most American barn finds have long since been found and tampered with by multiple owners; North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good, solid, original vehicles, waiting to be brought back to life.

We make thesevehicles available to the US market by taking care of importation and providing all paperwork required to obtain a ClearUS Title, in your name and home State.

We are passionate about finding the best there is and understand that our customers wantto see automobiles that have not been tampered with; The more original, the better.

Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specific that you are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.

The business we conduct is straightforward and honest. Whether you're looking for something that'sall original, a starting point for a restoration project or the bones for a custom build, Bison Brothers are here to help.
