1983 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Description

After almost 33 years of loving my 1983 Z28 Camaro i am ready to find a new owner for it. I bought it in 1987 from a car dealership that brought it up from Florida to where i live in Wisconsin. It has a 5 Liter V8 Cross Fire Injection motor with an automatic transmission. I bought it with 60,000 miles on it. Original motor and transmission. I had the transmission rebuilt about 10 years ago and upgraded with a shift kit. It has no problem busting the tires loose when it hits second gear. I have had faster muscle cars from the 60's and 70's but this car is pretty darn fast. The reason i kept this car for so long is that the suspension and cornering ability is amazing and that's what makes it so much fun to drive.
I upgraded the wheels after i bought it and put on IROC wheels. The Eagle GT tires only have a couple hundred miles on them. Parts that i have replaced are a new fuel pump in the gas tank a couple years ago, new alternator also a coule years ago, new ignition switch ( original was causing a parasitic drain on the battery), new battery last year, new lower radiator hose last year, new front struts, new stereo 2 years ago,
I did not like the original salt and pepper cloth seats so shortly after i bought it i had the seats redone with a black crushed velvet. I also had a new headliner put in about 3 years ago as the original one was starting to sag. The carpeting is in excellent condition. The whole interior is in good condition other than a couple cracks in the dashboard which is commom in the 3rd generation Camaros. They all crack in the same place probably due to heat between the speaker and the defroster vent. They do make aftermarket replacement dash boards and can be replaced very easily.
No options on this Camaro other than tilt wheel and air conditioning which quit working a few years back. Will not hold a refrigerant charge.
This car has never been in an accident and has never been driven in the winter. No bondo. I repainted it a year after i bought it. I painted it the same factory color but over the years the paint changed color form a red to more of a magenta. Why that happened i do not know. The hood and bumper were repainted due to some scratches later but they did not change color so now they are slightly different in color as the reat of the car. The car has a few chips out of the paint, one 2 inch scratch in the left front fender and a couple of small door dings. I guess what i am saying is that maybe it is time to have the car repainted so that everything matches up. I do not paint cars anymore but maybe the next owner of it would want fresh paint on it. It still looks nice as it is however.
I have only driven it on rare occasions over the last 15 years. Also need to mention that after i bought it i removed the catalytic converter and installed a pass through pipe in it's place because it restricted a lot of horsepower from the engine so if you live in a state that requires emissions testing you will need to install one to get it to pass.
I really prefer any potential buyer to come and look at it first and pick it up locally. If you buy it and want it shipped then you must pay for and arrange shipping.
If you have any questions i will answer them as soon as possible. Thanks for looking...
