1974 Chevrolet Corvette CONVERTIBLE Description

This is a solid and nice 1974 Chevrolet Corvette convertible that has been gone through and updated over the last few years. We are a dealer in Texas that specializes in mobility vans. We traded with one of our customers for this car about 2 years ago. It had been in storage for many years apparently. We have spent the last few years going over the car as we had time and updating and refreshing a ton of stuff. I am by no means a vette specialist and don't claim to know a lot about them. This is what we can tell from our research and inspections: The car was built as an LS4 454 car, so for the person that wants a true LS4 car this is apparently a big deal. BUT, somewhere in it's past in has had a nice 350 installed instead. I have zero knowledge of what was done to the engine. I know it has an Edelbrock Perfomance intake, upgraded ignition system, headers and a nice cam in it. The engine is very solid and will crank on the first try. I have had several mechanics that have helped with this car and all have commented on the engine being solid and well done with no leaks. The car does still have a Hydro Matic 3 Speed Transmission that has been rebuilt and had a shift kit installed at some time in it's life. The car has power steering and factory A/C. We have had everything out of the interior, installed new padding, carpet and replaced a large portion of the wiring. Our goal with this car was to try and make everything at least work correctly. All the gauges, lights, switches etc, all work. We added a brand new nice top to the car, but readily admit the top does not fit the windows all that good. Sort of what you would expect from a 45 year old convertible top frame. My guess is the person that buys this car won't be driving it around with the top up! But you need one for those unexpected rainstorms or the times you leave it in a parking lot for a few minutes.
Ebay only allows me to post 24 pictures, but I have 40 more on my companies website, just contact me and I will send you the link. I also am happy to take any additional pictures you would like.
I DID NOT detail the car before taking the pictures, but WILL have it detailed before it's delivered. My thinking on a car like this is that you can hide a ton of stuff in a picture with dressing and proper lighting. I do NOT want to do that. You can see from the underneath pictures that it's still very solid. The car has obviously been painted at least once or twice and in my opinion needs a new paintjob. From 10 feet, it looks great, up close, not so much. But the new owner of the car can decide for themselves if they are happy with it or want to spend 2k or 10k on a new paint job. What you can do is get in this car and drive it every day if you want. The car is rock solid at 75 mph on the freeway. The tires are still very nice but I do know they have to be at least 6 years old. I have probably driven the car 300 miles in the last 2 years with no issues and TONS of smiles.

Here is a short list of new parts and services we did to the car. This is not the total list and you will get copies and receipts for all the work and parts.

The car runs and drives very solidly. The A/C is cold but it has the 1974 volume of air coming out, so don't expect it to freeze you out in a Texas Summer. The headlights, tail lights, interior lights and dash lights all work correctly. The gauges all work properly. The newly updated clock works perfectly. The updated radio has Bluetooth, so you can use your phone while driving.
