1968 Chevrolet C-10 1/2 Ton SWB Wide Side Description

I bought this truck a couple months ago and was thinking I was going to build it into a LS/4L80 and and an aftermarket chassis but I have changed my mind and put it up for sale to build an E-Body Mopar Instead. It's a nice truck and runs and drives well. The odometer shows 6,481 miles and I assume it was zeroed during the previous restoration. The truck vin decodes as a 1968 GMC V8 wide side 1/2 ton. The motor is a much later year small block Chevy (center bolt valve covers started in 1987) with a TH 350 trans. Truck runs and shifts great. I think the truck is an early 2000's build. We installed a new Holley 670 vac secondary carb as it seems the previous owner did not drive it much and there was quite a bit of powdery crud in the Holley that was on it and it looked to be from non treated ethanol fuel during storage. We also installed a frame mounted rear fuel tank as it previously had a fuel cell in the bed and was a pain to fill and also repaired the temp gauge and fuel gauge resistor and had it aligned last week. The truck is not perfect, the paint is in good shape but is not super straight and the flames are painted on over the clear coat. It does have a great stance, glass is very nice, Pirelli tires have very little wear and the interior is nice clean and comfortable and has a tilt steering wheel. I bought this truck for myself but I have it at my car lot in Billings, MT, at Randash Auto Inc and it may sell before this auction is finished. 20" Rear Boyds Wheels with 295/40/20 Tires and 18" fronts with 245/45/18 Tires.
