1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z Description

Up for sale is this clean 1988 Camaro IROC-Z. It is in very good condition. Options include:

  • A/C (Converted to R-134) Blows Cold
  • T-Tops
  • AM/FM/Cassette w/ERS System (Graphic Equalizer)
  • Cruise Control (non-operative)
  • Automatic 4-Speed Transmission
  • Power Steering
  • Power Brakes (front disc/rear drum)

The only modifications that have been done are:

  • Ceramic Short Tube Headers
  • Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust
  • Jet Chip
  • Dual K&N Air Filters
  • Vortex Spacer on Throttle Boder
  • Dakota Digital Instrument Cluster (the original gauges were faulty)
  • New Rear Speakers
  • New 2-Stage Paint & Decals
  • OEM Wheels Reconditioned

The exterior of the car is very presentable. There are a few chips in the paint but nothing major. The paint job was done by Maaco thus it is not "show" perfect. There is a flaw near the stripes on the left of the nose of the car.

The interior is in good shape. There is only one tear in the fabric and it is in the headrest on the driver's side. With that said, a full interior detail should make it look nearly brand new on the inside.

The car runs very well. The transmission shifts smoothly without any issues. The engine has a lot of torque. Burn-outs are easy but infrequent. I claim to be an adult! We have taken this car on several road trips to the Texas Hill Country from the Greater Houston Area without any issues, stopping for oil or water.

The only things that I know that could be viewed as an issue are:

  • The Cruise Control doesn't work.
  • The "Service Engine" Light comes on after several minutes of driving but doesn't return a code.My mechanic believes its due to the digital instrument cluster.
  • The exhaust causes a vibration under the car during idle in "park".

Please feel free to ask any questions or request more pictures and/or videos. I hope that I am pricing this car fairly for a quick sale. I am also being as honest as I know how regarding the condition of the car.It has to move fast for we have some repairs to make to our home thus no reasonable offer will be refused.

Thank you for your interest!
