Your introduction to hot rodding is here! This 1972 El Camino is a well sorted driver that's great for the local cruise-in, grabbing "thumbs up" around town, or cruising to the coast. Built as an SS tribute, the Black paint with White stripes is sure to grab the attention of any car enthusiast. Power is provided by a Chevy 350cid V8 topped with a Holly 4 barrel carb and aluminum intake, while a Turbo 400 transmission handles the gears. The car runs and drives well, making plenty of power through all of the gears. New BFG Radial T/A raised white letter tires are paired with new anthracite finished American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, providing that period correct look and great handling.
The original interior shows well with a few areas of wear as seen in the photos. The frame is solid and the body panels are straight and fit well. The high-gloss black finish looks great from a few feet, but upon close inspection shows paint touchups and a couple of small rust spots on the lower front fender corners that could use a little TLC. Ice cold A/C keeps the cabin cool. The doors open and close with a solid feel. Gauges and windows are work as they should, and the bed area has been finished in a protective coating.
Although not a show car, this is a great looking and driving El Camino that grabs attention wherever it goes. Call Art & Speed at 901-850-0507 to put this one in your garage!
