Up for auction with a very low reserve is a stunning 1979 El Camino 350 V8, Auto, that has been cared for meticulously its whole life. I bought it from the 2nd owner who had owned it since about 1981 if I recall correctly. It is a beautiful metallic midnight blue and has matching dark blue interior. It has a Choo Choo Customs SS nose and Choo Choo Customs Side Ground Effects and Choo Choo side exit pipes. (They didn't make Choo Choo Customs el caminos in 1979, this one is a tribute to them and the IROC-SS decals were a dealer installed package back in the 80's) The rear bumper is corvette style with the license plate shaved and moved off the tailgate and onto the bumper. It has the hood bulge and fender vents. The paint was done very professionally for shows many years ago and has been inside ever since. Some imperfections show due to age but this paint is WAY above average. It has brand new 17" Iroc wheels and new tires. The car runs and drives great. It shifts great. It brakes great, and my favorite part, the AIR CONDITIONING is ice cold! Inside is a full custom interior with a newer style dash (no cracks, and its not a coverlay, its an authentic uncracked GM dash!) It has bucket seats (authentic G body seats) and a center console with floor shifter. Behind the seat it has a custom compartment instead of just a curtain. The door panels were custom tweed covered to match the seats and the compartment. Beautiful job all over. New reproduction blue GM floor mats. All gauges, lights, and speedo work (except clock). Custom billet steering wheel and rear view mirror. The horn does not work but I think it just needs hooked up correctly. The radio is not working but I peeked behind the dash and I noticed it was not hooked up. Very clean car. New seat belts. The engine compartment is very clean and detailed. It has very recently received a new carb and intake. This car has no rust. Its obvious it's been an indoor car all its life. The previous owner showed this car at ISCA events. When I bought it, it came with a trailer that it toured with. The trailer was sold. Inside the trailer there were dozens of show trophies and plaques. Several features on this car are very unique. Notice the rear bed rails have been either chrome plated or highly polished. Notice the Chevy Bow-tie and SS made into the headliner. The engine is decked out in billet aluminum. Some of the flaws you should be aware of is some cracking where the hood scoop was molded to the hood. A minor paint bubble on the passenger door under the mirror. It has a rubber bed mat in the bed. You'll want to keep this in place because the paint underneath the mat doesn't have the clear coat on it. This is a beautiful car its hard to find much else wrong with it. It's a definite show car that gets thumbs up wherever it goes and can be driven anywhere. I drove it 3 hours to a car show last year, and back. You are welcome to come see the car and check it out prior to the auctions end.
