1970 Nova SS (clone #s dont match )
1970 Chevrolet Nova SuperSport Description
This car came from an estate and I was asked to get it running and sell it. I am a licensed auto dealer if that helps for any reason. I installed a new battery and it fired right up and purred like a kitten. It was low on transmission fluid from sitting so I added a couple quarts and drove it for about a half hour and it runs strong and drives smooth throughout all speeds. My guess is it will need some seals in the transmission replaced at some point from sitting as well as other old car restoration stuff. Engine runs so smooth its hard to believe. New water pump. I dont care for the drum brakes all the way around but they work. I felt a bump like a broken motor mount under hard acceleration but its strong and passing gear works well. No smoke. This car looks to have had alot of amature restoration work done a few years back with a new vinyl top and low dollar paint job with parts from at least two cars. Great daily driver with just minimal freshening up or build a dream car.... cloth material on top of back seat doesnt match. Floors are absolutely solid throughout. Doesnt seem to have rust around back window either. Single exhaust, ten bolt rear end. Hasnt been on the road for a couple years except for me running around in it for a bit. I would say it needs a good once over prior to daily use or a trip across country but feels good enough to take a good test drive in and if you were adventurous maybe a long ride home...
I reserve the right to cancel auction at any time as it is for sale locally and /or for reasons I may not be aware of while writing this description.
