1966 Chevrolet Corvette base Description

This car was originally restored in the mid 80's. It is a solid car, no accidents, and still has the original engine and drivetrain, engine numbers match, 327 cubic inch, 4 speed manual transmission, car originally black exterior, red interior as it is now. Seats are original from factory, as is the dash, door panels replaced in mid 80's, are correct in appearance, carpet I just replaced this year, and I had car repainted as well. Chrome is very good, bumpers and some brightwork re-plated I'm guessing when previous owner went thru the car, but I can't be certain. Odometer shows 9000 miles, that is the mileage driven since car was gone thru in the mid 80's. The previous owner said it had about 70,000 miles on it and he reset it back to 0 when he was going thru it. I have no way of proving that, I will say I have known the previous owner for some years now and have no reason to not believe him. Tires are good condition, they are meaty and with no power steering it takes some armstrong to parallel park. Wheels/rims are 1967 I believe. Radio works as good as they did in '66, clock does not work. I think the car has the "speed shift?" on the transmission, at least the throw seems shorter than other Corvette's I have had. Car overall is very presentable, drives out nice, no issues to speak of, new battery, quick and responsive feel like the vette's of that era. I do have the hardtop as well, good glass, weatherstrip is off it and in a box, I'm not certain if every piece is there or not. I would guess the weatherstrip seals will need recovered. I have never had the hardtop on the car. The top paint is fair, but will most likely need repainted as the rest of the car is freshly done. Headliner is red and in good shape. It is off sight in another building and I have not seen it for awhile, so am going from memory.Car is a great week-end fun to drive, local car shows, respectable, solid and original. Drive it as it is, or go thru and make it a show stopper. I'm out of space and need to get rid of a few vehicles, someone will get an original piece.
