1964 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Description

Due to lack of garage space, I am offering this very nice California Black-plate 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Convertible for sale. 1964 was the first year for the Malibu and this one has been very well cared for. The exterior is the original Saddle Tan Metallic with absolutely no chips, dings or other imperfections. The interior is also Saddle Tan with bucket seats, console, 4 on the floor, new carpet & professionally added oil, temp & volt gauges. It has a very nice white top with a clear rear window and the original boot.
It is powered by a 283/V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor. This car has a rare option of power steering to go along with the Muncie 4 speed transmission, and is a pleasure to drive. The rear differential has all new gears and seals, which was done to eliminate a whine at low speeds. It has the original 1964 SS hubcaps, original jack and a very nice trunk area.
Decoding the VIN and Data plate confirms this car to be a '64 Chevelle Malibu SS Convertible with a 283 Cu. in. 220 horsepower and Muncie 4 speed in Saddle Tan Metallic with Saddle Tan interior. This is a superb car throughout with an excellent rust free body and undercarriage. It is excellent mechanically, and is the quickest starting classic car I have ever owned.
