Before you send me an email asking me for my "best price, bottom-line or asking price" let me just make a suggestion based on 36 years of buying and selling experiences. Deals are made through conversations, not texting, not emailing or conversations without even knowing who or what you are talking to, they happen throughpersonal contact. I want my my clients to know who they are trying to make a deal with. I want to know their real intent to buy also. This equation does not exist with "What's your best price?" and no personal contact. I have gone to great lengths to find this incredible vehicle, make sure it's the best it can be for you and present it in a way that no other seller does online. I do that so we can talk, make a clear deal, fair for both sides and watch a happy buyer enjoy their new ride. If you just don't have the gumption to make contact and you just want an idea of price, look at what the market values posted above say, they are fairly accurate on AVERAGE vehicles across the US. If you think this vehicle is average, above or below, bid accordingly or. . . pick up the phone and have a pleasant conversation with a real enthusiast that can make your deal on the spot. Keeping it real.

Let's make a deal...Call me

Doug

When it comes to emotion evoking 70s automotive muscle, the 70 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 is at the top of the list for most aficionados. I have owned several true SS 454s and 396s over the years, built custom Chevelles and even built a few for some of our clients. This big block Chevelle came to me from a friend that had it for the last thirteen years, most of the work having been done in the last two years. Even though it decodes out as both Chevelle and Malibu, it did start out life as a Malibu and has been fully modified into a mild ProTouring Chevelle SS 454 Tribute with a host of outstanding options and upgrades. To give a bit of history, my client has sold me a few of his collector cars over the years, this one I hounded him for about the last three years knowing how much he put into it and the quality of his build. A year ago, he finally decided to go big block and upgrade the suspension and build a cammed and stroked 454 cubic inch to send this down the road with authority. So, when you see and hear the video that I will be posting on my Facebook page under VivaLasVegasAutos you'll be able to hear the lope and fantastic sounds generated through the 2.5 inch pipes and Flowmaster exhausts. Nothing like a big block gives you that rumble we all love. This was not just a through it together build either. First, he started with a solid body, no panel replacement western car, then had it finished in Jet Black, the original green just wouldn't cut it for sure. Laid the paint beautifully with a deep rich polished finish, then surrounded the car with mostly new bright work. The grill is stunning, the bumpers, like new, the light surrounds and lenses all new. But wait there's more...

He didn't just stop with a show stopping paint job, he wanted his interior like his new Mercedes...in leather. So off to the specialty upholstery shop to have the interior seats fully covered in supple leather, dash covered in leather and the doors finished to match; all sewn in the original design of the vinyl seats as the factory made them. The results are two fold, first, open the doors and you instantly know you have a leather interior aroma and then the feel of the leather is supple and inviting. The sewmanship, outstanding too. But again it doesn't end there...

Looking straight ahead and you'll see this beautifully lit in a variety of changeable colors dash from Dokota Digital Dashes. Of course it is an SS dash as well with all the functional guages too. Down to the right, a Kenwood sound deck with MP3 and USB connections spinning sound through the amplified speakers professionally mounted and desplayed through the car and trunk with plenty of base sound to rattle your dentures loose. For me, I'd rather listen to the big block, but if you are a sound aficionado, you'll appreciate the expense spent here too. Look through the pictures, all 188 of them so you can see the high quality finish of this great build and enjoy the art. But wait there's more...

The professional restoration of a Big Block 454 would be great without having the engine compartment take on modernization with the serpintine belt system wrapping wround Billet Aluminum bolt ons. One look under the hood and aside from the sound of the loping cam, the looks are outstanding and still retain that vintage look. The only thing that some may question is why he didn't upgrade the rear end to a 12 bolt verses the 10 bolt remaining. Simple reason, he wanted a freeway flyer for the 700R4 four speed transmission and didn't care about doing burnouts. Easy change out if you want to do burn outs I guess. But on the freeway, this cruiser rides with all traffic speeds and comfortably has plenty of power to maintain any speed you want. The cooling system, needed here in Las Vegas, an Aluminum radiator for ample cooling. To handle the upgraded big block, my client installed high end tubular front suspension upper and lower arms and the stance speaks for itself. Wait there's more...

Just kidding, if you're like most bidders on eBay, you won't have read to even this point. If you are the buyer, you will have read every word twice and your about ready to call me and make an offer you want this car so bad. I get it, I felt the same way when my friend finally called me and had me buy two of his cars including this one. His last classic to leave his stable as it is being replaced with cars more suitable to his aging life. For me, nothing looks quite as good as a black SS Chevelle with Palomino Tan leather inside and a big block rumbling under the hood. If this is your fancy, bid or better yet, call me with your best offer and let's make a deal. This is not a low ball car, so don't think that the low bids on eBay are the value or what the car might sell for. If you're a car guy, you already know what it takes to buy quality and this car is a quality Chevelle. Just decide what your budget allows and lets talk. If all you want to know is what the approximate value guides are for a car like this, I have posted those above and that's a pretty accurate figure range. If you wanted one built like this, you could spend over double what you might be able to buy this one for. My client did and he'll never see a return on his investment but you might...let's talk. I DO NOT respond to emails asking for my bottom line as that is no way to make a deal with tire kickers. If you are serious, pick up your phone and let's have a conversation. You'll like the way I deal and I make it very easy to come together through eBay's system.

The body lines on this car are outstanding, trim fit and finish very nice. Perfect? No, I never see perfect cars but I will show you pictures up close and personal of every inch of this car. If the beautiful model offend someone you are close to, blame me for enjoying taking pictures of beautiful women with my cars. I am also a photographer and market posters and published images for my models. Just a bunch of fun. But I do hear from time to time that a few guys have been slapped in the back of their heads for starring too long. Remember, there are only 12 pictures of the girl and 176 of the car. That should give you good enough balance to make your case. I won't be responsible for any contusions.

The breathtaking fit an finish of this car are outstanding. The doors, hood and trunk thud shut like new and the windows roll up and down smoothly. The tires and wheels, like brand new as there are only about 500 miles on both the new engine build and the tires.

If you've read this far you probably know the '70 Chevelle represents the Zenith in muscle car performance. Opinions vary of course but the semi-fastback shape and front end'sdoleful smile is the very symbol of the horespower madness of the late '60s and early '70s. Floor this car at any speed; listen to the roar of the exhausts, the front end rises and the road is your fantasy from there on out. The good news is, you're getting a car that starts every time, drives perfectly, doesn't rattle and stays together. It has been fully restored and needs nothing . . . except someone to turn the key and stand on the gas.

There's good news and bad news. Thegood news is; everybody wants this Chevelle just as much as you do. The bad news is, a few people want it more than you do. A lot more. How bad do you want it?

The Palomino leather and black interior is all new and sensational. Options include bucket seats, console, cushioned rim 3-spoke steering wheel, Dakota Digital Dash, Kenwood Sounds, Soft-Ray tinted glass, windshield antenna and floor mats, all in stunning condition.

The leather upholstery is new and there is not a rip or tear to be found.

Thisengine is an authentic 454 with the only casting to be found on the rear of the engine; you'll see a picture below. Locally built and modified too.

A new steering and suspension rebuild gives this Chevelle its on-road poise and all metal down here is metal. Cross over on the stainless dualexhaust systemequalizes back pressure, which enhances low-end torque.

Stunning in hear to say the least, nothing like new leather.

413 miles since the engine went into this car. The odometer at 41000 was what it showed when the original dash was removed

Thissound system rocks for those that want big sounds

A note from the owner.

I am a “used car dealer” but before that, I’m an automobile enthusiast. I love original rare and high quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I’ve been in business, have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles. I specialize in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners. I have an experienced eye for quality but I’ve discovered that my preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore, built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer. Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the bidder, that this is an above average, exceptional vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me, it probably won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of business.

With just four employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may at first glance appear. It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list. To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner and Chris, owner of A-Best Auto Repair in Henderson, Nevada has my back. He and his crew can fix anything; from a low budget beater to the absolute most expensive exotic you can name, no job is too big and no small detail unimportant. They do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes their methodical investigation. Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about me. Moreover; it allows my writer to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless he thinks it is true. If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction.

After the vehicle is fully sorted it arrives at our facility where it encounters the suspicious eye of Tom, my writer that creates the presentations you see on eBay. He believes absolutely nothing I or anyone else tells him about the car as he combs over every inch, researches its history and documents originality and authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty. Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150 high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I’ve developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep. Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so meticulously clean. This reconditioning can sometimes take several days and I’ve converted a paint booth, especially prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each car lovingly receives.

Usually, I’ll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If it’s a fast car, we film it going fast. If it’s a 4x4 you’ll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch the temperature fall on a digital, laser thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent. How many “dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty? We do.

No “dealer,” on-line or in the real world, takes it to this level. No other seller or organization provides you, the buyer, with so much information. I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or feel their purchase, that my vehicle is for real and what I say is the truth. All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact. I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought it.

If you have any questions at all, please call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is sincere and your offer serious, you’ll find me the most accommodating business partner you’ve ever dealt with. If you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the conversation. Until you are ready to actually pull the trigger, I will happily quote you the absolute highest nationally advertised suggested retail price I can find – a number we both know will not buy the car so, don’t waste your time, or mine. I am after all, a “used car dealer.”

Serious buyers know the maximum they can offer. I then must simply decide if I can sell for that number.

If you hit the reserve, the decision is no longer mine. I must sell at that number.
