1924 1927 CHEVROLET CHEVY SUPERIOR ROADSTER HOT RAT ROD ANTIQUE VINTAGE PROJECT
1924 Chevrolet Chevy superior Description
Ok so what you are looking at is a very rare and surviving 1924 Chevrolet Superior Roadster. It has had parts changed out to keep it on the road over the last 95 years. For example the radiator, headlamps, and headlamp bar are from a 1927 model. The body has had backyard repairs done to it as well. For example the sheet metal has been repaired and replaced in many areas like the cowl and where the trunk should be. The interior wood work has been patched and changed over the years also. The wood floors had not been made yet. There is no top for this roadster. The frame is surprisingly nice and solid as is most of the underside. At this point in automotive history these cars were not much more than a wood wagon skinned in steel sheeting and a engine in place. Mechanically the car could be a running auto without to much trouble. The engine has run in the last 3 years. It has compression and spins freely. This vehicle is equipped with crank start by handle or electric start. The transmission has the 1924 cone type clutch. The engine appears to have a replacement cylinder head with a date of 12/29/26. I don't know if the head was just replaced or the whole engine was. The engine has all the intake and ignition in place to run after servicing. The drivetrain, running gear, brakes and wheels are all there. The front suspension is the up to 1924 design. The rear tires are new and the fronts are old but hold air. In some photos with the car on the trailer you may notice the fenders in the rear in red oxide primer and in later photos they are black. I did this so the neighbors wouldn't complain while it was at the house. This car could be taken in a few different directions. Get it running and fix it as you drive and have a rare car that is a rat rod. Start a full restoration and collect the missing or incorrect parts because it is a rare example of a early chevy. Or you could go full custom with a rare starter car. The car is in Concord NH. It is not running and driving as is to be considered a parts vehicle/project/non operating vehicle. If you purchase this car, be prepared to hire a auto transport who will move a nonoperating vehicle. This car is sold with a current New Hampshire registration. New Hampshire does not issue nor require titles for vehicles 1999 or older which of course this is way older. The bill of sale, registration, and a copy of The New Hampshire web page stating nh title laws are all that is needed to register the vehicle in most other states. it is up to the buyer to research and verify this. The vehicle must be paid for within 3 days and removed within 7 days. Do not make a deal/bid if you are not planning on going through with the deal/bid. Please feel free to ask questions and request photos. Buy it now, Bid or make an offer. This vintage chevy could be your new toy. Don't let it slip out of your hands. NO RESERVE.
