1968 Chevrolet Camaro Description

Offered is a 1968 Camaro RS convertible. I purchased this car in the 1980's and drove it for a year and then put it in storage. Got it out 2 years ago and started to clean it up. I replaced the fuel tank and sending unit, put a rebuild kit on all 4 disc brakes, replaced the master cylinder and radiator,water pump, and rebuilt the carburetor. The engine is the original 327 that runs flawlessly, no smoke, no noise. It may have been overhauled when someone changed the cylinder heads and intake manifold to high-performance Corvette style. I don't really know as this is how I purchased the car, including the 4-wheel disc brakes. The transmission is a Saginaw4-speed. It is smooth and quiet, and so is the differential. The car had some floor panels welded in apparently before it was repainted.....probably in the late 1970's. I have upgraded the car to a fair-weather driver.TheCamero has a tilt steering column and power steering. The car is registered and insured in Connecticut. The top has been down since the carwas purchased. as my passion has always been convertibles. As you can see. the car needs a lot of cosmetic upgrading and also a new hand brake cable. The top is discolored and dirty and you cannot see thru the rear window. The interior is original but needs replacing,. The carpet is shot. I tried to take images of some of the paint cracking and body flaws. The RS headlights work fine because I serviced the electric motors and cleaned the points on the3 relays that operate the system. The grille andall the wheel trim are like new. The rest of the chrome, including the bumpers, have minor mars and pin prick pitting, I have tried to take images of most of the warts and flaws. For example, the car still needs a hand brake cable.This Camaro is being offered at no reserve because I need to thin out my collection.
