1970 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Custom Description

I purchased this truck with big plans but just don't have the time so I am going to pass it along. This pickup was ordered new by a city shop in the Denver area. It was purchased years later by a city employee who had it for many years and only used it for dump trips and chores. He had the engine rebuilt and added headers and old school glass pack exhaust. The motor runs very well and has a snappy throttle response so I am sure that the cam was upgraded. The top end was upgraded with an Eldlebrock intake and carb with an electric fuel pump. The third owner is who I purchased it from, he had it for a couple of years and just used it for occasional hunting trips. I have only driven the truck a few hundred miles, it performs well and drives just like they did back in 1970. It has power steering, power brakes that was not introduced until 1971 in these trucks. I did take it out on a gravel road and tested the 4X4, I backed up in low range and dropped into drive and stepped on it. I was pleasantly surprised when it dug four holes in the road. There is nothing on the tag indicating posi but it's there, my guess that the diffs were upgraded to posi by the city. The driver's floor pan has been replaced, it will need a new rocker and floor pan on the passenger side. The doors are good but there are some small bubbles in the cab corners. The outside bed panels have been skinned with filler during a repaint. Looking up between the panels I cannot see any dents in the outer panel. Probably had some small dimple dents from its service with the City and the body man was lazy! The inside of the bed and tailgate are in great shape and all the glass is good. There is a small dent in the left rear corner that damaged the tail light bezel as well. There is some surface rust on the sides from when the aftermarket molding was removed and took off the paint. The odometer reads 37K, due to the condition of the truck, I think that 137K is probably correct but who knows! I have purchased many things on eBay but new at selling. I can provide more pictures on request and will answer questions on the number below to the best of my ability. The truck is currently stored in my barn a couple hours north of Loveland CO. I will transport to Loveland or to Denver if the reserve is met to better coordinate shipping.I have set the minimum bid $100 below the reserve due to eBay rules. Even the buy it now price is a bargain on a great 4X4 project in its current condition in this body style. Less than 1600 of these 4x4 long box half tons were produced in 1970.Seven two 0- two five four-six nine nine seven
