GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1981 Chevrolet Corvette for your consideration. The original 5.7L small-block engine was rebuilt just over 10 years ago. During the process of rebuilding the engine, many upgraded performance parts were added to increase the horsepower to upward of 550 according to the selling owner. Some of these included upgrades included a comp cam and comp lifters, side pipe headers, side exhaust pipes, a 144 Holley blower supercharger, an Edelbrock carburetor, and a... 2 stage center force clutch. All of this works together to create an impressively strong power plant. The motor is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission that is more than strong enough to handle the increased power. The modifications do not stop with the motor though. A 4 core dual-fan radiator was installed along with a new fuel pump, water pump, and air cleaner. Everything was timed and tuned to make sure the engine and everything else ran smoothly. Also upgraded was the suspension. A sport suspension set up was installed to perfect the driving experience. Recently Nitto SSR drag radials, and brake lines along with a master cylinder were added. Though we have not taken this car out and driven it hard, we do not doubt that it can rocket down the road at insane speeds. Midnight Blue paint covers the exterior and though it shows some fading, it complements the body lines nicely. The black leather interior pairs well with the blue exterior. No interior modifications were made except for an aftermarket audio system and a boost gauge located on the dashboard. Overall this is a very nice, and well-built car that is ready to rocket down the road or drag strip. It has all the right upgrades to make for an extremely fast car.
