1969 Chevrolet El Camino SS 396 L code Description

Numbers matching 1969 El Camino SS 396.This is a very solid car. The only rust is it the bottoms of both of the front fenders. The floors, bed, rockers, quarters, hood and roof are excellent as are the inner and outer front fenders except the lower part back by the door, they make a patch panel for that spot to cut and weld in. It is really a blue car with black vinyl roof. The vinyl was taken off over 32 years ago and the white sprayed on just to preserve so it wouldnt rust. The underside of the car is extremely rust free and was recently painted with POR 15 to keep it that way. The floor pans are also coated in POR15 to preserve it. The bed is also coated inside in a red. The car was stored for 32 years, and kept running faithfully. The interior is pretty good. The dash pad, doors, headliner, and seats are excellent. It could use a new center plastic dash section (just for looks), drivers side armrest plastic has a crack could be replaced and new carpet. It is all original interior and sheet metal. Some a/c parts are still on the car..the rest i have in a box and will go with it. They weren't put back on after the engine rebuild..Mechanical the car is in excellent condition. Ive installed a lot of new seals throughout the drivetrain that leaked and what not from its long sit. All new brakes all the way around and lines and master cylinder. The car is a factory power brake car with discs up front. All new header back exhaust with 40 series flowmasters. All 2 1/2". Long tube headers. All new fluids. New power steering gaskets and hose.Brand new Cooper Cobra 235/60 14 tires on the factory 14" wheels. The motor was rebuilt and is now a roller motor with approximately 4200 miles. It holds 50lbs oil pressure and runs at 180-190 temp always.
This is a great opertunity for someone to have the 69 El Camino Ss numbers matching solid car they always wanted at a real fair price.Paint it back to the factory blue and black vinyl top for an all original car.. Or paint it whatever color you love.
I have a price from a very good local painter to have it done. All taken down, lower fenders cut out and new welded in,small dent fixed, all jambs redone and painted. The price is 5k to have it done. The car deserves it. Then 700 more for the misc other pieces it needs. Have an amazing 69 ss 396 for half of the price of one thats done already and you will know exactly what you have ..no rust, no filler no BS numbers matching true ss 396 with ps, pb and a/c.
I was just throwing that out there as an option for someone..that price is a friend price for me..i cant afford it. Thats why im selling it..but would pass the deal on to the buyer if you are interested.
You can drive the car daily or anywhere. It is very sound mechanically! No smoke, no knocks, no getting hot.. Starts instantly every time and drives smooth down the road with plenty of extra power..the elco is no slouch. It doesnt leak anything either.
