1990 Chevrolet Corvette Base Description

This auction is for my 1990 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. This car was owned by my father from 2002 until he passed away in late 2016. I closed down his shop in March of 2019 and this was one of the cars that he had stored inside his shop for the duration of him owning it. My father loved this car and loved all Corvettes in general and had 20+ corvettes throughout his lifetime ranging from 1953 up to 2003. My father drove this car approximately 500 milers per year during his ownership, and the mileage reads 192,998. The car does not look like a 192,000 mile Corvette so I am not sure if the mileage is correct or if the dash cluster had been replaced at some point. For the sake of this auction, assume the mileage is correct. I drove the car from my father's shop to where it is stored now and it ran very well. Granted, it was only a 7 mile drive, it seemed to have no issues. There is a fan switch wired under the dash that controls the fans off/low/high speeds. This was added prior to my father getting the car and I do not know why other than the previous owner wanted better control over what temps the car ran at? I do not know anything else about the drive-ability of the car other than the short distance I drove it, and that was March of this year. The car has sat under a car cover since that time but has been outside. The photos of the right side of the car make it look like there is paint damage and there is not, it is reflections from the weeds next to the car.
I tried to start it when I took the photos this last week and the battery is completely dead. After trying to charge it for 4 hours, it would not rise past 12.1 volts and it would drop back down once the charger was removed. It was an old battery anyway, therefore the car will come with a BRAND NEW battery installed before the winning bidder takes possession. I had a battery charger on the old battery and it was still so weak that I could not get the car to start, it would crank, but not fire. I also noticed I was not hearing the fuel pump prime either, so I have no idea if that was part of the bad battery issue or not. The car also has bad gas in it right now (at least 4 years old and reason #2 I did not work very hard to get the car started) and I am currently in the process of draining the old gas and putting fresh gas in it. The serpentine belt is also cracked and bad when I checked it, so that will be replaced with a brand new belt as well. This truly is a solid foundation and what I would consider to be a small project, that after a little time and TLC, would be an awesome Corvette convertible to enjoy.

$500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of auction end, and full payment within 7 days. I DO NOT accept PayPal for the remainder, and the remainder must be paid in cash in person, certified bank check, or wire transfer. Car will not be released until the bank check clears.
I have sold several cars here on Ebay and I work with two shippers that are local to me. Shipping is at the expense of the buyer. The shippers I work with are small time shippers and not 15 truck fleets so their availability to ship is sometimes a few weeks out. If you need help coordinating shipping, I can get you in touch with my shippers for a quote. Otherwise feel free to arrange you own shipping as well.
This vehicle is sold as is and where is with no warranty either expressed or implied. Also, if you live in an emission regulated region, I have no idea if this car will pass current smog tests or not. The exhaust was changed when my father first purchased the car and it has been muffler deleted. The cats and other emissions systems are still there, but it is louder than normal so I do not know how that effects the visual. This car had always been in a non-emission county so it was not big deal for my father.
PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS if you have them. Also, if there is a specific item you want photographed, let me know and I can try and get that photo for you.

**********. ********* Yesterday I drained the old gas out and put 5 gallons of fresh fuel in it, and a brand new battery. The car cranks but does not fire. I believe it has something to do with either the aftermarket Clifford alarm system or the original VATS. I checked power at the fuel pump connector and the pin that is supposed to see 12V when the key is tuned on is not seeing voltage, and there is no power to it while cranking so I believe the car is in "disable" mode and I do not know/have the time it takes to solve that. So please know that the car is not currently running. It is most likely an easy fix, but I don't know enough about these years of Corvettes to feel comfortable digging in to things. Thanks!
