1970 Chevrolet C10 GOLD FACTORY SHORT BED V8 116023 ORIGINAL MILES SURVIVOR CPP
1970 Chevrolet C10 Description
1970 Chevrolet FACTORY SHORT BED, half ton, 2 wheel drive, three speed manual, power steering, manual drum brakes. Almost all original North Carolina truck. Has 116023 original miles. I bought from 3rd owner in March of this year, he only owned it for a year. Original owner bought it from Raleigh NC where he purchased it new. I have had it in my garage since March and the following parts are all brand spanking new with receipts. Starting at the front it has a perfect running 307 engine (non matching numbers) but it originally came with a 307 so maybe a dealer replacement? When I pulled the original intake manifold, the lifter valley was very clean inside, not a drop of sludge, grit, nothing bad, I was very pleased. Also you could tell the intake was older than the block and heads. So I would think its safe to say low mileage engine. The gentleman I got it from said he replaced the clutch, and fuel sender. Then I installed a new Edelbrock 1406 Carb, Edelbrock aluminum intake, HEI distributor, engine wiring harness, forward lamp harness, horn, chrome air cleaner, aluminum valve covers, HOOKER 2452HKR Competition Headers, HOOKER 16522HKR DUAL EXHAUST, FLOWMASTER SUPER 44 SERIES MUFFLERS, new water pump, fuel pump, alternator with billet mount, power steering pump, close ratio SAGANAW power steering box, CPP power steering lines and rag joint, push on door seals (these push on door seals are very thick, door strikers have to be set out to get them to close, I would probably change those back to the glue on, more messy but much thinner and door will close flush to cab), Radiator hoses, both belts, Taylor spark plug wires, battery, battery cables, 3 core aluminum radiator, stainless surge tank, flex fan, harmonic balancer (only changed because of rubber was warped), Coyles timing gear set. Door hinge pins and bushings, exterior mirrors, motor mounts, body mounts.Front suspension is almost all new, just had basic alignment done with alignment report, has all new upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, CPP front sway bar, brakes front and rear, lines and bearings. RH wheel well, Brand new BFGOODRICH 255/70R15 tires, CPP rear trailing arms, front and rear Monroe shocks, rear CHROME bumper, rear adjustable track bar, chrome diff cover and ALL fluids and oil are fresh. In the interior we have new dash, instrument bezel, 3 spoke comfort grip steering wheel, black carpet, original GM style seat cover it would of come with in 1970, pedal covers, billet gas pedal, BFG floor mats, heater control panel, heater vent hoses, glove box. Heater, wiper, blinkers, lights and defrost work great, all gauges work except for fuel, but it was working earlier, so I will work on that, may be an easy fix. Has a brand new windshield, and I think all glass is original including rear slider window. Bed is in great condition, does not have any big dents, looks to of had a tool box in the back at some time. So it probably never hauled anything big, and it never towed anything because it does not have that kind of bumper, I replaced the rear bumper with the same kind that was on it, I still have the bumper and trailing arms along with other miscellaneous parts. The exterior is all original panels, (except for repairs), original doors, hood, wheels, hub caps, bed, and all body moldings are all original to the truck, moldings are on the build sticker as options on the glove box door. The truck looks to have had only one repaint in its life but its peeling off an pitting in some areas, and the original paint is showing. You could repaint or leave as is and let it continue to patina. New drivers side rocker panel, floor, cab supports and cab corner. Firewall cleaned and painted. Passengers rocker had been replaced, and all it needed on that side was a small patch and a cab corner. Both doors have repairs in bottom of doors and may need more in the future depending on how picky you are. All repairs were completely MIG welded and seamed sealed on both sides if possible before painting. Minimal filler where used. I do have the six lug spare wheel and tire along with the carrier that mounts under the bed that will go with the truck. Wheel is good but will need a new spare tire. This really is a great little truck, runs out nice, but it is not perfect. As I said the gas gauge dosent work, needs door felt seals, no radio, wiper/ cowl area needs some repair, core support has some rust on passengers side, and as I said the paint is aged. But all in all this is a great little truck that runs great. Also, I think the handling on this truck can get even better if the springs were changed out to lower ones and it had a proper 4 wheel alignment. A lot of time and money has been spent on it over the last five months to get it to where it is now, there is well over 7 thousand dollars in receipts alone. Plus supplies that I did not include in that total. Since its been in my garage its been driven just over 100 miles so all these parts really are pretty new. I really did not plan on selling this truck so early, but I have other projects that need to get finished, really wish I could keep it. But, I HAVE CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME, and I am in ROCK HILL SOUTH CAROLINA, just south of Charlotte NC. I can help with getting it to a shipper as I am just down the road from a truck stop, I can take the vehicle to the trucker there. This truck is sold AS IS NO WARRANTY, USA ONL, WINNER MUST PAY WITHIN 3 DAYS, Thanks for looking.
