A really wonderful 1973 Caprice Classic Convertible. A good driver quality car with no known issues. Since acquiring the car it has been completely gone through and any known issues resolved. After several road tests we would feel entirely confident to send any of our family members in a long trip in this car.
List of what has been done:
4 new tires
New brakes, rotors, drums, calipers, wheel cylinders, shoes, pads, lines, master cylinder, and brake fluid.
New gas tank, sending unit, fuel lines, fuel filter
New oil, oil filter
New carpet, convertible top solenoid, fan belts, power steering fluid, anti-freeze and air cleaner.
There are a couple of small creases on either side of the rear bumper (see pictures), the chrome on the car is good but shows signs of light pitting (see pictures).
The passenger side floor pan was replaced due what we are guessing was a previous roof leak. The car's top after several tests no longer leaks. The quarters do not have any rust, the trunk has surface rust (see pictures).
All electrics work with the exception of the clock.
The outside of the car looks very nice with some minor rust bubbles (see picture) over the rear wheel arch.
The interior has the typical wear of a 49,000 mile car. There is no cracking of the dash, or any holes, rips, tears, etc. in the upholstery, the carpet is new.
The top is in good original condition.
In summary, a very nice car that you can feel proud of and confident to drive to the local cruise in, or take on a long scenic drive!
We encourage you to see the car in person. For those who cannot see it in Altoona, Pennsylvania, we would be happy to take it to a local repair garage for a pre-purchase inspection.
We are happy to answer any questions you might have in the meantime.
Good bidding!
Because of the age of the car, it is being sold "as is", "where is" with no warranty. This will be clearly labeled in the Bill of Sale.
