1978 Chevrolet Corvette Silver Anniversary Edition- ALL ORIGINAL!

For sale is this all-original survivor 1978 Chevrolet (Chevy) Corvette C3 Silver Anniversary Edition with ONLY 19k documented original miles on the odometer. This Corvette is 100% stock and all original, with no apparent modifications. It is powered by the L-48 350 Cubic Inch (5.7L) V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission (very few cars in 1978 were equipped with the manual transmission). Of course this 'Vette is Rear Wheel Drive (RWD). This Corvette was traded in on a brand new Corvette C7 Stingray at our Chevrolet Store. It is a beautiful example of a later-model C3 'Vette. NOTE: eBay requires a seventeen-digit (17-digit) Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in order to list a vehicle. Therefore, 'Zeros' (0's) have been used as placeholders for the remaining digits of the VIN. The correct VIN for this 'Vette is 1Z87L8S435486

EXTERIOR: The exterior of this 'Vette is in excellent shape. Being all fiberglass, the body is in excellent shape, and the two-tone Silver Anniversary paint still shines. The car is free of rust on its non-fiberglass parts. Aftermarket 'L-48' emblems adorn the sides of the hood. This 'Vette rides on its original fifteen-inch (15”) aluminum wheels mounted on a set of four (4) matching Goodyear Eagle GT Outline White-Lettered (OWL) tires, which have plenty of tread life left. All exterior lights and signals are in working condition. The removable "T”-Top roof panels come with their original vinyl bags to store them in when they are removed. This car could easily be taken to shows and win awards.

INTERIOR. The interior of this 'Vette is in very nice condition. The red leather bucket seats are in very good condition (a red interior paired with the Silver Anniversary exterior is a rare color combination). This 'Vette is equipped with power windows and door locks, which function properly. It is also equipped with the factory OEM GM-Delco A/M-F/M Stereo Radio with CB Radio (the CB is a rare option for these cars) and the two original dashboard-mounted speakers. The A/M and F/M functions of the radio both work, and the dashboard speakers sound great. The factory CB mic is still attached to the carpet on the passenger side of the car). The car is equipped with factory A/C. All gauges are in working condition, and even the original warning buzzer is still functional. Included are three (3) new iron-on Silver Anniversary patches. This 'Vette has its original red steering wheel that is in excellent condition with no wear. Overall, this 'Vette has a very nice interior that is 100% stock.

ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/DRIVE TRAIN: This 'Vette is equipped with the L-48 350 Cubic Inch (5.7L) V8 engine that starts right up and runs and drives out nicely. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts out well. There are still 'GM Genuine' labels on the side of the air cleaner. The only item worth noting is that the parking brake shoes on these C3 'Vettes have issues, and this one has it as well. Again, this is a common issue, and can easily be fixed. Other than the parking brake issue, the car runs and drives out well.

OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: As mentioned, this 'Vette has 19,000 miles on its odometer. We have documentation from the previous owner that shows this, and it will be included with the car (we also have the original owner's manual and new car delivery paper). If you're looking to drive this 'Vette, we can provide a temporary tag with proof of driver's license and insurance.
