This is a 1990 Corvette in pretty good condition. The car has an Automatic transmission with a shift kit installed, glass removable roof panel, chrome wheels, tan leather interior, Medium Quasar Blue Metallic paint, power windows, power locks, dual power seats, A/C, tilt wheel, cruise control, Alpine CD player, and a car cover. A detailed description is:
MECHANICALLY: The car runs very strong and it is a lot of fun to drive. The transmission holds gears a little longer and shifts fast into 2nd gear due to the shift kit when you keep the car in drive. In overdrive it shifts a little softer. The A/C does not blow cold but the heater works well. Needs tires in the rear, no threads are showing but they are pretty dry from age and getting low on tread. The right side valve cover leaks oil. The tilt steering column is loose but still functions fine. The car idles a little high after itwarms up,which I was told is most likely the Idle Air Control Valve needing cleaned or replaced. The seat belt light stays on even when the seat belt is fastened. In August 2013 and 800 miles ago the car had new front and rear wheel bearings installed, new Mono Leaf installed in the rear, and new oil pan gasket. I have the receipt for the work mentioned. If I was to keep the car I would replace the suspension bushings and shocks but it is not necessary. All the lights work, wipers work, horn blows, and it can be driven home.
EXTERIOR: The car is presentable in appearance but not perfect. The car was repainted at some point and there is some bubbles and some chips that have been touched up. No major eye sores like clear coat peeling or anything like that. At first glance or at 10 feet away the car looks great. All glass is good with no cracks or chips in the windshield. There is some scratches on the roof panel though. The wheels have some pitting and chrome peeling but they still look pretty good. All the panels seem to line up well with no signs of the car ever being wrecked. The main seal that surrounds the windshield frame has been replaced, but the others are showing their age. The antenna mast is missing but the antenna motor works as it should.
INTERIOR: The interior is decent but it has some issues. Foam rubber coming unglued, warping dash, cracked or broken plastic pieces here and there. The interior issues are less than typical of what you would find in this era Corvette ( I have seen a lot worse). The leather on the seats feel and look better than you would expect with just one wear-through on the drivers seat. Both power seats work fine. Windows go up and down, and everything else I could find electrically seem to work fine as well with one exception, the dome light doesn't come on when you open the doors but it works when you open the hatch. The Alpine stereo works as it should and the sound quality is pretty good.
Overall, this is a decent Corvette for the money. The interior and exterior color is a nice combination, and the chrome wheels really set it off. This is a great corvette for someone who wants to enjoy it as it is and just fix some things here and there when money or time is available. It is a pretty nice Corvette for being 26 years old. If your shopping for a Corvette in this price range, I think you would have a hard time finding a nicer one.
