Chevrolet has been pumping out Corvettes for 66 years, building about 1.5 million of them since 1953. That makes the 'Vette one of the most popular sports cars of all time. First- and second-generation Corvettes were one of the first true collectible cars of the modern era, and collecting Corvettes remains a global phenomenon. More than just another two-seat sports car, the Vette is an American icon. There's a good reason it's often referred to as America's sports car.

For Consignment we offer a 1986 version of the America's sports car. An upgraded option engine in the 5.7 Liter V-8, and a very nicely preserved Champagne exterior, performance handling, and an improved fuel injection system are just a few of the upgrades included for this year.

Exterior
All clean bright Champagne painted fiberglass in good condition. Some dulling in the paint and some areas of overspray, however mostly unremarkable, are noted. Dual electric controlled sport mirrors, and a brown tinted lift off roof panel is seen. Aluminum wheels in a snowflake pattern dipped in gold paint. and radials are bolted on all 4 corners.

Interior
Brown leather buckets grace the inside of this Vette. A digital driver information system is seen on the square design dash, as well as the 4-speed automatic transmission shifter in the console. Power windows, and power steering and a key fob remote access button will get you into the rear storage area that has enough room to house the removable top. Carpeting appears in good condition, and so do door panels.

Drivetrain
A 5.7 Liter electronic fuel injected V8 can be viewed within an original engine bay with the flip of the hood. Corrosion on aluminum parts is noted. Bolted on back is the 4-speed automatic transmission. Keeping everything cool is an all-electric fan cooling system. It is noted that this engine runs but has a rough idle.

Undercarriage
Reasonably clean and rust free and has in storage for a while (since 2014). A performance handling package has been added. Suspension includes a posi trac rear, and fiberglass mono leaf spring is seen on the front and rear.

Overall a clean Corvette that the consigner has stored away for some time. A bit of a rough idle possibly due to old fuel, but exterior and interior that remains true to the 'Vette legacy of America's Sports Car.
