1993 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Description

This is a 1993 Chevrolet C1500 Shortbed that has had a bunch of work done to it over the last year. I bought the truck in December of 2018 not running, completely stock needing a new engine and several other things to be roadworthy. The body was pretty straight when I purchased it with no rust, but everything else needed attention.
I started by putting a Vortec Small Block in it from a 1997 truck with the later model accessories such as Air Conditioning, Power steering, Etc. Lowered the truck statically with a McGaughy's 2-4 Lowering kit and put a nice set of used Ice 22" rims with new 275/45/22 on the front and 305/45/22 on the rear. Was just going to leave it at that and drive it but a friend of mine told me he would like to paint it. So I bought a new front bumper and rear roll pan with sport mirrors and we painted it in the factory color. The rear roll pan has been welded in and is seamless. I just like the smooth pan instead of the seams. Once we completed the paint job the truck deserved an interior upgrade so I spent another $4000.00 on interior. You will not find one at this price with as clean of an interior than this one. Interior includes New custom upholstered seat and door panels. Rebuilt hvac system. New digital dash with an integrated GPS Speed sensor. This allows for tire and rim size change without reprogramming anything. New Kenwood head unit that has so many features it does everything but monitor tire pressures. All new speakers in the factory locations, and a Kicker self powered 8" subwoofer located behind the driver seat. The truck also has new carpet. The dash is not cracked as in most of these older trucks. I replaced or rebuilt anything inside the cab that was not up to par.

The truck is always garaged. It has never sat outside since painting it.

I was building this to be a driver, but it is not too far from being a real show truck. Since I have built the truck I have enjoyed it over the summer and put around 600 miles on it in that time. I noticed a drop in oil pressure the last time I drove it and decided to sell it rather than invest another $3000.00 in it. Reason I say that is because if I do it again I will do an LS swap and that is about what it will cost me. The truck runs and drives fine. There are no noises coming from the engine at all and the oil pressure stays around 30 psi on the highway. It drops to about 7-8 psi when you stop with the transmission in gear and engine at idle.
If you are so inclined I do have a 454 Big Block out of a 1999 Suburban that I considered putting in it. This is the Generation 6 engine and it is a good one. I also have a 4L80E 2 wheel drive transmission out of the same 97 truck that I removed the engine from that is currently in this truck. I would give the purchaser of this truck first right to buy these items for what I have in them which is $1000.00. I also have the wiring harness, I do not have a computer. If I were to use the big block I was going to install a Holley EFI with the transmission controller software for the 4L80E.

The truck also has ceramic coated headers with dual exhaust. I have over $1000.00 in the Borla exhaust alone.

All in all this is a real solid truck that can be driven home. It does not smoke and makes no noise, you just have to watch the oil pressure. It has been switched from TBI to Carburetor, but it is running a new Edelbrock 600CFM with electric choke. That alone was $400.00. The pictures show an old Holley on there, I just used that carb. for initial firing of the engine.

So as you can see I have put more money into the truck than I will ever see out of it, but life has a way of smacking you upside the head and introducing you to a little thing called priorities. It has been a fun build and I smile from ear to ear while driving it, but I cannot justify spending more money on it unless it goes to that show car level. Someone could easily replace this engine with a new crate engine. It is worth it. I just have other things that are taking priority.
There is no deposit required. You simply show up with the cash and I will sign the title over to you, and fill out a bill of sale. I do not require a documentation fee as I am not a dealer. The only condition that I require, and you need to meet is that we meet in person to do the deal. If you want to drive away in it or with it on your trailer is up to you. Once we meet if you need it shipped I will be happy to assist in whatever way I can. If you get here and feel I have misrepresented the truck in any way, you walk away owing me nothing.

Any questions please ask. I would rather give too much information and lose a potential sale as to have you waste your time, so please ask me. I know every little thing about this truck. I have been over it and under it from bumper to bumper and top to bottom.
