1968 Chevrolet Nova Description

I am listing this auction for a friend, please read the entire description and if you have any questions call the owner @ 330-501-6757 his name is Jack.

This car was built as a street brawler and has an impressive list of proven performance parts and modifications made to it. When the owner purchased the car it was a roller that was painted sometime in the late 90’s. The body, floors and trunk are all solid and the sub-frame is very clean as well. The paint is presentable as is but would benefit from a light wet sanding and buffing/polishing.

The car has been lightened and weighs 2950 pounds with a 50-50 front to rear weight bias. There are no provisions for wipers, heater, defroster, radio, speakers, etc. All lights and turn signals operate properly.

The car has about twelve easy ¼ mile passes on it and in full street trim (through the mufflers and no sticky tires) has run as quick as 11.41 @ 119 MPH on premium pump gas!

The engine was rebuilt by Minors Performance in Lordstown, Ohio and dyno at 550 horse power. It consists of a .030 over 454 two bolt main block, oval port heads, new Edelbrock Air Gap intake manifold, new Holley 850 carb, new Summit brand MSD distributor, new MSD wires, new Summit electric water pump, new Mellings oil pump, new Moroso oil pan and a Crane solid lifter flat tappet camshaft # 134692 with 580” lift intake and 600” lift exhaust.

The transmission is a new Rossler Transmissions street-strip turbo 350 with a custom Rossler 2:24 1st gear. A new TCI 10” torque converter was installed at this time. A custom narrowed 12 bolt rear end was built and filled with a new Mosier spool and axles and a new 4:10 ring and pinion. A new Summit 12 bolt support cover was included.

The chassis consists of the following new parts: urethane body mounts, frame connectors, brake hoses & shoes, front Moroso drag springs, Cal Trac front shocks, Cal Trac split mono rear springs, Monroe rear gas shocks, rear mounted Holley fuel pump, fuel tank and sending unit, rear shackles, pitman arm, Summit line lock, master cylinder. The wheels are Weld Racing RTS, 15x5 front and 15x8 rear. The tires are 205/75R15 front and 255/70R15 rear.

The body was treated to these new items: Harwood fiberglass cowl induction hood, Harwood hood springs, rear bumper, Yenko stripe kit, headlight eyebrow moldings, outside mirror, hood pin kit, trunk mounted batteries, battery cables, bumper mounted on/off switch, aluminum radiator and hoses, electric cooling fan.

Last but not least are all of the new parts installed in the interior: dash pad, racing seats and covers, front seat mounts, Hurst Quarter stick shifter, Grant steering wheel, gauges, door trim panels, rear seat cover, rear package tray, window crank handles, carpet, gas pedal assembly, custom switch panel and MSD ignition panel & relays.

Please note in the pictures that there is a small area in the left lower corner of the windshield that is delaminating. I have more pictures available upon request.
