1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Coupe! 5.3 V8 Overdrive Transmission Vintage Air!

1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Coupe Street Rod Description

1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Street Rod finished in gray paint, with a good luster to it. Chrome and brightwork in great shape and really sets this car apart. This Fleetmaster looks stock on the outside but has been reworked and upgraded to a 5.3L V8 with an automatic transmission. Equipped with power steering and power brakes, this is ready to hit the road. Odometer reads 343 miles since built. This has had numerous things added to it and I will break it up into sections starting with suspension.

Suspension upgrades include: new Front Speedway Mustang II suspension with coil overs, new rack and pinion power steering, new Chevrolet style front disc brakes, new Chassis Engineering rear drop leaf springs, rebuilt Ford 8.8 rear end with 3:73 gears and brand new disc brakes, new driveshaft, new master cylinder and power brakes with all new disc brakes, and the car was professionally aligned by an alignment shop.

Next is drivetrain upgrades: Chevrolet 5.3L V8 engine, new Texas Speed camshaft, rods, springs, and retainers; new intake with new injectors and fuel rails, new power steering pump, alternator, starter, and tensioner; completely rebuilt 4L60E transmission with new 2500 converter, new Tanks Inc. fuel tanks with Aeromotive internal fuel pump, new fuel lines and filters, new aluminum radiator and fan with shroud, new 18" Detroit Wheel Company Steel wheels and tires, new headers and custom made exhaust.

Next some Interior changes: new Dakota Digital gauges, new Ididit steering column with retrofit original steering wheel with new steering shaft and joints, new Old Air air conditioning and heat, new carpet and front seat belts, all new wiring on the car, new LED headlights and tail lights.

Some other additions: oil and filter changed at 250 miles, dyno tuned, parking brake and wipers are not hooked up, no horns on the car, choke and throttle knobs are decorative/not functioning, the internal hood release is not functioning and is replaced with another latch in the front grille.
