1968 Chevrolet Camaro Description

MORE PICS BELOW

Please read this fully and look at all pics!!I will try to answer any and all questions.

This is an original SS 396 Camaro coupe. It came with factory A/C and an automatic transmission.

Amazing project car for you to build how you want… I would guess that 85% of the car is here, meaning the majority of the major expense items and almost all of the small items. You don’t have to settle for a finished color you don’t like or a carburetor if you want fuel injection. What I have complied here over the years will most likely allow you to take this car in most any direction you like.It also has a clear GA title in my possession. I feel that almost all questions can be answered from the pics shown. All the pics I have taken while unpacking this project car from storage have been posted for you to see. If you do not see the part or piece you are questioning in the pictures, then I do not have it. Every single item shown in the pics goes with the car. I cannot even begin to list the amount of parts I have for this car. It would take days to document and list them in the description. So, pics will do the job for me.I have well over 25 grand in the restoration and parts of this car. Everything has been done professionally and correctly. My intentions were to never sell this but 12 years later things have changed.

It began its restoration process back around 2010. It has had a full rotisserie blasting from Classic Muscle Works in Florida. Most of the parts in the pics minus the front suspension parts were blasted and primed as well. Example would be hood latches, headlamp pods and so on. The roof was leaded back on just as it was from the factory. New sheet metal and panels were replaced as you can see from the pics during the blasting.A high-quality undercoating was put on the firewall and floors for sound proofing and insulative purposes. It was not put on to hide rust or holes. The pics of before the coating and after the blasting make that more than clear. If this is something you don’t want on the car, you could have it blasted off before assembly begins.Even though I was going to take this car back to mostly original, I planned on having some more modern perks in it as well.

The engine is a 1968 396. It is a 4-bolt main engine.Date code is H-14-9 and casting number 3916323.It has been completely rebuilt by a professional shop in Orlando Florida.I have the original timing chain cover, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, harmonic balancer and water pump for the engine.Finding a 68 4 bolt main 396 was a task and took much time.

The transmission is a 1968 TH400. It has been rebuilt by TCI transmissions. The tag is cd-68-332747.

This car is in storage where it has been for the last 8 years. It was unpacked to document parts and packed back up. It is sitting just as shown in the pics. Packed in a shipping container. I have a forklift and will help you load this car and every single part to it if you purchase it. The final pic you see is how it currently sits and exactly how it will look when you arrive to pick it up.
