1972 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Description
1972 Chevrolet K10 (½ ton), longbed, fleetside, pickup truck. This is the same as C10 but 4WD.
Awesome 70’s green color (GM Medium Olive) that everyone seems to enjoy – like Kermit the Frog. I call it the Chevrolet Leaf, because it’s green. I get thumbs-up and intros almost every time I take it out – “I used to own a 71….etc.”.
Many extras including diamond plate toolbox, Kodiak Canvas truck tent – see complete list below.
Vehicle is located in San Francisco for inspection and pickup. Clear California title and current registration, commercial plates. Garaged almost entirely during my ownership.
I have owned it since April 2012 at mileage 15333. Mileage now 43863 (so I’ve only done about 4000/year). Five-digit odo, actual mileage unknown.
Have used it for a mix of around-town (errands cruising) and longer trips in western US (camping, skiing, 24 hours of lemons tow vehicle)

Things for future owner to do / known quirks
- Speedo reads ~10% high due to larger wheels/tires
- There is light surface rust on the underbody, frame and suspension components. Deeper rust is limited to a few locations in photos/videos. Underside sprayed with Metal Ready once a year.
- Wiper blades make a fairly annoying screeching sound, but still work OK. A new set would likely solve that problem, but I don’t drive much in the rain.
- The underhood needs cleanup and insulation. Would reduce engine noise if you care about that.
- There is a chip in the windscreen visible in photos/video.
- Gas gauge occasionally sticks on empty when below ¼ tank. Corrects itself pretty quickly, or when refilled.
- The spare tire predates my ownership. It holds air, and has good tread, but I have never used it.
- No stereo, enjoy the engine noise. The dash opening is clean and unmolested. Aluminum blank plate included. The door speakers are just filling the whole and are non-operative.
