With a few well-selected upgrades and a sinister black paint job, it turns heads and demands your attention, but thanks to a quality build, reliable mechanicals, and a handsome tan interior, it's the person driving it who will enjoy it most.

Big headlights, brilliant chrome and trim, and a lowered and slightly raked stance make the otherwise stock bodywork on this black streetrod beauty look pretty sleek. This fat-fendered Chevy combines all the styling cues that you'd expect with the fantastic 1941 styling, which was the pinnacle of pre-war design. For a car that was built a few years back, it still looks pretty fresh and with the black paint and styling details that include only minimal pinstripe work, it'll never look dated, you know, like those pastel rods with all those silly graphics down the flanks. The fat fenders and long hoods are what make these cars stand out, enhanced by the raised trim that adorn them, the wide-mouth front grille is imposing and instantly recognizable, and shiny one-piece bumpers fore and aft bookend the hotrod beautifully. Turn signals are nicely integrated into the fenders just below the headlights, there are tiny side mirrors, and the 2-piece windshield has not been V-butted together like most of these era streetrods, which means all that extra window chrome was retained. In back, twin tail-pipes poke out just beyond the rear bumper and the pinstripe work on the rear end looks great and aptly names this beauty as the "Fat Fendered '41". Man, this is a really great looking rod that will give any Blue Oval a run for it's money.

With front buckets swapped-in from a late model, the interior is a wonderful combination of tan cloth colors that makes it bright and airy inside this sporty coupe. The two-tone high-back buckets up front are power actuated and very spacious and comfortable, matching the closer-to-stock rear seat and door panels nicely, with all the components showing only minor signs of use. The black-and-chrome dash is very neat and features original gauges inside their respective factory clusters, along with an under-dash panel that houses the modern A/C system that blows hard and cold. The driving position is comfortable thanks to a chrome tilt column with a fat wood-rimmed steering wheel with a Bowtie center cap, and visibility is excellent through the panoramic windshield. Features like cold A/C, power seats, power windows, and an AM/FM/CD stereo mean that you can drive it to work every day if that's your thing and you'll never once miss your modern machine. The back seat is more like a storage area because of its size and includes its own matching door panels, while the trunk is finished with custom side panels and plush carpet that you certainly won't mind showing off.

The powertrain is reliable, powerful, easy to service, and lots of fun to drive. A 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 seems like the appropriate choice here, and they certainly didn't cut any corners during the build to get it in there. Lots of shiny parts and detailed components makes it worthy of showing off, but it's also highly functional with a giant radiator, power rack-and-pinion steering and front disc brakes, and an upgraded ignition system and Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. Backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic and 10-bolt rear end, it's a combination that was sorted out during the restoration and remains an excellent choice for guys who like to drive their rods to any distance. An upgraded front suspension with tubular A-arms makes it feel sharp on the road, while out back there's a sway bar and conventional leaf spring setup with air shocks to help set the stance. A big gas tank and a snarky dual exhaust note make this a car you will never hesitate to drive. Sharp 18-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels give it an awesome profile and an updated look, particularly with thick Goodyear Eagle Sport rubber at all four corners.

DOCUMENTS & VEHICLE TITLE: All purchase documents are sent immediately upon purchase. To avoid delays, we recommend returning any required documents within 24 hours of receipt. Please allow up to 30 days for vehicle titles. Usually titles are available sooner, we ask for the extra time in the event there are unforeseen circumstances.

VIN VERIFICATION: We photograph the primary VIN location of every vehicle and make sure that VIN exactly matches the vehicle's current title.
