***1964 CHEVELLE WAGON 283 V-8 700R4 AIR PS PDB SUPER CLEAN AND SHARP*** This is a 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu station wagon that the owner asked me to list. He doesn't do anything with computers. It was built in Atlanta and appears to have been in the south its entire life as there is no rust or rot anywhere - check the underside photos below. The body was painted a few years ago in blue and silver. The owner had a local artist add beltline pin stripes with tasteful graphics. The trim is original and in very nice condition. The Rocket wheels have 45 series low profile tires. Glass is all good and the side windows and back glass are tinted. A custom made spoiler is under the front bumper. There is a custom made hitch under the rear bumper that the owner uses for an umbrella for car shows. The hitch is well made and could be used for towing a small trailer. Headlights and taillights are LED. The front suspension has been upgraded to tubular a-arms with a thick sway bar mounted on urethane bushings. Car drives great! The car has been converted to power disc brakes on all four wheels. The engine is a 283 V-8. The owner is not sure if it is the original engine. It is in excellent condition with the correct compression. Engine has an aluminum intake with Holley 600 carburetor. Valve covers and air cleaner are ball milled aluminum. Engine is cooled by a Champion aluminum radiator with two pusher electric fans mounted in front. Power goes to a 700R4 overdrive transmission and 10-bolt rear. Car is easy to drive with power steering, power disc brakes and Vintage air, heat and defrost (car originally had AC). Stereo plays through speakers in the dash and in the storage area. Interior color is the original blue with new dash pad, headliner, seat covers and carpet. Hushmat was installed in the floor and rear panels in the storage area. The tailgate has a power window that operates properly. All doors, tailgate and hood open and shut properly. Everything functions properly except the turn signals do not cancel and need a cam and the person who installed the headliner did not run the wire to the dome light. This wagon is ready for someone to drive and enjoy - it needs a new owner to love and care for it as the current owner has another project he is working on. I invite anyone seriously interested in the wagon to set up a time to take a look and see how nice it really is - email me or call 804-five nine zero-0718 with any questions or if you'd like to set up a time to see it. We have a lift so you can see how nice it is everywhere. I consider this car a survivor - we think it only has a little over 100K miles on it. Runs, drives excellent. Taillights are LED and it has a custom hitch. You can hop in and drive anywhere. Wagon has been lowered a little and rides on 45 series tires. Rocket wheels mount 225x45x18s on front and 245x45x18s on the rear. Note tinted glass. Car is ready for someone to enjoy. Headlights are LED and have a relay so they don't draw too much current. Note custom made spoiler. There are two pusher electric fans behind the grill that are operated by a switch under the dash. Power window in tailgate works properly and the tailgate opens and closes properly. Car has a leather wrapped billet steering wheel. Owner added the tachometer and under dash gauges. New dash pad, seat covers and carpet. We think the door panels and storage area panels may be originals. Very clean Lokar pedals - linkage for carburetor and 700R4 are also from Lokar. Owner also installed two sets of LED lights on either side of dash that come on when door is opened. There are switches under dash for the lockup convertor for the 700R4 and for the electric fans. We believe the mileage is 102,653 Custom Auto stereo is AM/FM and installed without cutting. Under dash gauges work. There is a dual cone speaker inside the dash. Also inside the dash is the Vintage Air unit. Rear seat The weather stripping has been replaced.
