1953 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description

1953 Chevrolet 210
This old Chevy rat rod is awesome.
I purchased this car in August of 2012 to have something to drive while I was building another rat rod. It runs great down the interstate at 75/80 mph with no problems. We have driven it to Frog follies in Indiana, Beatersville in Louisville KY (several times) and to down town Nashville quite often in the summer time. It gets a lot of attention everywhere we take it. Its a beater or a rat rod if you're into this type of car its perfect but it will never be a contender at pebble beach.
  • The body is solid with a few dents and dings.
  • The paint and patina are original and it hasn't been clear coated, the car looks Badass!
  • That visor is sexy!
  • There is one small patch panel on the bottom of the rear quarter panel where it meets the bumper.
  • The floor pans and trunk pan have been redone with sheet metal.
  • It has airbags (and shocks) on all four corners and two new black Viair 380c compressors in the trunk.
  • The rear bumper is mounted so that it'll move up when you drag it so it doesn't snag or get bent.
  • The entire chassis/frame/suspension has been swapped to a 1986 Monte Carlo (G-Body) chassis.
  • It has power brakes, power steering and disk brakes on the front.
  • The tires have good tread and are not dry rotted. The sidewalls were painted brown when I bought it for the barn find look.
  • The front tires rub on the outboard mounted shocks and brackets at full lock and are chewed up a little on the inside but are still safe.
  • The engine is a 1979 Camaro 305, I put a set of rebuilt stock heads, Holley dual plane street intake and Holley 600cfm vacuum secondary carburetor with and electric choke on it when I first got it.
  • It has headers, 3" pipe and glass pack mufflers.
  • Turbo 350 transmission.
  • I changed the oil this weekend, it uses a little but doesn't smoke.
  • The speedometer doesn't have a cable, the temp gauge, oil pressure and gas gauge work.
  • It has working turn signals, headlights (high beam only needs a dimmer switch wired in) brake lights and tail lights.
  • All the windows roll up and down as they should.
  • It's been stored indoors.
I'm selling it as is!
