1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Description
1973 Camaro Z/28, special order, low option car delivered to Willingham Motor Company in Forsyth, Georgia as documented on dealership check-in form shown in the image gallery. According to history that we have from a previous owner, the car receiveda repaint in its original color code 64, Silver in 1989 and was always garage kept and driven sparingly since. It looks to have most, if not all of its original sheet metal. This car is a time capsule, retaining its factory low options status. The VIN matching,
CLK suffixand correct date code L82 350CI small block chevy engine still wears all of its major components as well as rare original air cleaner assembly. The carburetor has been replaced with a later date coded, but correct Rochester Quadrajet. The Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission is date code correct. The 10 bold posi rear end is also date code correct and coded with a 3.73:1 Detroit Gear and Axle carrier consistent
with the RPO Z/28 power train specs for 1973. Engine, trans and rear end are all validated by aforementioned check-in sheet from the original selling dealer. Body and paint are in remarkable condition considering the repaint was 31 years ago. There is no rust and very minor wear noticeableon the car. Original floorsstill show the factory red-oxide primer and the undercarriageis amazingly clean, and detailed. Interior looks to be all original and very well preserved. Factory trunk mat, spare tire (new tire installed), jack and other tools are all still in place in the super clean and rust free trunk. This car shows absolutely none of the rust issues typically evident in these 2nd generation F-body cars. These cars are getting more and more difficult to find in unmolested condition like this one. A car in this condition is a solid investment and asking price is far below what these cars are currently trading for at auction. Some additionaldetails:
