I have up for sale my excellent condition 1983 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. I am the second owner of this car, having purchased it from the original owner who purchased it from Ontario Motor Sales on Oshawa, Ontario. I have an extensive amount of documentation including original bill of sale, GM's Vintage Vehicle Services documentation, and a complete list of repairs/work done under my ownership.
The car is in all original condition with approximately 36,500 kilometers (23,000 miles for my American viewers). I purchased the car in August of 2011 with 32,000KM so you can see I have not put much on it since then. When purchased, I had a complete tuneup performed on the car using only OEM and/or AC Delco parts. All fluids are fresh and oil changes were done once a year regardless of mileage.
The car has the 5.0L LG4 motor. It is carbureted and I put a remanufactured Quadrajet carburator on it when I purchased the car. It is mated to a TH300C 3 speed transmission.
The paint is original single stage and in good condition. There are a few marks/dings but they are only noticeable up close. There have been no touch-ups done or any cosmetic repairs of any kind. It shows very well and is a great car for your local car shows and cruise nights!
The car has a unique combo of dark charcoal exterior with a bright orange interior. It has 4 wheel disc brake (relatively rare for a Third Gen Camaro), a limited slip rear end, manual door locks, manual windows.
Rather than ramble on in this ad, I suggest interested parties reach out to me directly and I’d be happy to discuss this car more over email/text/phone. I am not financially motivated to sell the car, so low-balls and tire-kickers will be ignored. I have posted a few random photos but have many more that I can send. I can also take specific photos of the vehicle as requested.
The car is currently stored and located in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. It is accessible for viewing and can be started / moved around slightly…but it cannot be road-tested until spring. I am willing to keep the car in storage until summer for the buyer if needed. I can also help with transportation arrangements as necessary.
Due to the fact the car is stored, it is being sold AS-IS/WHERE-IS but it would need nothing for safety. I have an excel spreadsheet of all repairs/work done since I purchased the car and its extensive and overkill but I am extremely OCD about my cars and their maintenance. For anyone who presses the 'Buy it Now' button or makes a successful offer, I expect a $500 deposit within 48 hours and the balance paid within 10 days. The final payment needs to be cash or wire transfer only before the car is released.
