1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Tri-Power Restomod Description

This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Tri-Power Restomod has only about 5k miles since completing a full frame-off restoration. And not only does this silver bullet look fresh, but also they took the time to install a professionally-built 650 hp tri-power big block and a five-speed so you can have the best control of it all. So dig into all the details about the ultimate Stingray for show AND go.
Cortez Silver is one of the brightest and most distinct metallic colors offered on the Stingray, and it was only available for two years. So that's why they invested nicely in a smooth and sleek respray. And this factory-correct paint needs a great canvas. So they also paid attention to getting the body panels quite crisp with the shark-like pointed nose, flush-fitting headlight doors, and crisp rear panels with a well-integrated spoiler. In fact, a restoration of this caliber delivers on everything you want, right down to the details. The bumpers are freshly re-chromed, and fresh Stingray badges bring you right back to the year 1969. The big block hood and factory side pipes are always a symbol of something powerful under the hood. Plus, keen eyes will notice that the classic-style Rally wheels look a little larger than stock. It's a subtle hint at the extra power that's in this big block machine (more on that in a moment.)
The new black convertible top coordinates nicely with the silver exterior, and if you like the way that looks, then you'll love taking it down to reveal the full black interior. The investment here during the restoration was about keeping a stock look but delivering a fresh feeling. The high-back bucket seats, carpeting, door panels, dash, and center console all have the deep and dark look of quality. Plus, there are some nice brightwork pieces breaking up this midnight affair, including the stick shift that just seems to be calling out to your right hand. These C3s were truly built around the driver. That's why you have a grippy three-spoke sports steering wheel on a tilt column; there's a large speedo and tach directly in front of you; and all the essential auxiliary gauges are mounted up high for easy glances.
From the moment you lift the hood, most performance car fans will gravitate to the triangle air topper that signals a triple set of dual-barrel carbs on your big block. But a 427ci Tri-Power car is just the tip of the performance iceberg. This is a 1969-correct L71 fully rebuilt by AMT Racing Engines, including Ross pistons and a Comp Cam. They also rebuilt the right supporting components - from the Holley carbs to the correct transistorized ignition system. The result is one of the most eager big blocks that is also now said to be producing a street-eating 650 hp and 750 ft-lbs of torque. You need a stout transmission to harness this to the fullest, and so this has been upgraded to a Keisler Engineering Tremec TKO 600 five-speed with Centerforce clutch. This feeds a Positraction rear end with larger half shafts to handle the added torque. Stingrays are already known for being a terrific handling classic with a fully-independent suspension, but the restoration on this one went further. The undercarriage photos show you fresh components, right down to the bushings, and this has the ultra-desirable F41 enhanced performance package. Plus, with power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and modern performance tires disguised as classic redline rubber, this has the skills to put you in full control.
If this restored convertible looks like it was done with both knowledge and care, then you won't be surprised that the meticulous work done on this corvette comes from a master NCRS judge. We also have over $30k in receipts documenting the quality invested in the multi-year process to restore and upgrade this Stingray. So if you love big power, total control, and head-turning style, don't let this silver bullet slip away. Call today!!!
