Over $15k in repairs over 23 years!
1987 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Description
I'm selling a 1987 Corvette C4 coupe with a targa top that is located in Marietta, GA. Mechanically, it's in extremely good condition. The car currently has 114,000 miles, and it had 88,000 miles when I bought it 1996. Over the 23 years that I've owned it, it has received around $15,000 in repairs. I've spent thousands of dollars on it in just the last 2 years. I'm selling it because I purchased a 2008 C6 coupe. The repairs I've done to it will be listed below, including some spare parts that haven't been installed. The interior is in decent shape, it has the type of wear-and-tear that you would associate with a 33 year-old Corvette. I believe that this car has every single option for a 1987 car, including power leather seats, Bose stereo, automatic climate control, etc. It does not have the Z51 package, or the clear roof. As you can see, the exterior is pretty rough. It has all-original paint, but it has a few scrapes and scratches, the clear coat has failed in some places, and some of the emblems are slightly faded. The wheels are in good condition, with only minor wear-and-tear. It has always been garage-kept under my ownership, and the car has always been in Georgia under my ownership. It has never been in an accident, and none of the body panels have ever been repaired or replaced under my ownership. Some cons are that the front speakers for the audio system intermittently squeal when the radio is turned on, and the transmission has an extremely small leak at the rear main seal. A pint of transmission fluid needs to be added every 2-3 years, and around 3-4 drips leak onto the ground if the car is driven and then parked for about 2 months. If you have any questions about it, then P.M. me. This car has had so much work done to it in the last few years that whoever buys it will have a rough-looking, but very well-sorted car. The winner of this auction will determine pick-up, shipping of the car, etc.
